Does anyone know the difference between azithromycin and the azithromycin dt version?

The dt version is way cheaper on alldaychemist but if its anyway different I won't add it to rifabutin and mino.

all zith is generic the real deal is kinda pricey when doing real zithromax...u gotta pair something with that riffy to avoid bart resistance right?

Bluelyme yeah right now I have minocycline with it. I don't know if its necessary to add a third one, some people say yes, some no. I know many people including girlie who are taking just the rifabutin and mino.

I see no difference between azithromycin and azithromycin DT. I've never seen a prescription for azithromycin DT in 25 years.

I took a quick look on alldaychemist site... isn’t the cheaper one just a lower dose (100mg)?

Maybe it has nothing to do with the DT

I think you're right girlie. Isn't azithromycin used at 200 mg daily for bartonella too? So I would take the the dt twice a day?

I wonder what dt stands for though.

But the lower doses will be cheaper.

Azithromycin is generally prescribed 500 mg

Azithromycin is usually prescribed in 500 mg doses - either once or twice daily (it seems to vary from Dr to Dt)

No I’m not just taking Rif and mino.
I take different meds with Rifabutin depending on the week.

I just finished dapsone, daraprim, Ceftin and Rifabutin

Next week it’s different meds. (Clindamycin and minocycline)

But with my previous lyme dr - I took Rifampin and mino OR biaxin.

The bart guru uses Biaxin and Rifampin or Rifabutin

So many LL drs do just prescribe two abx.
