Dose anyone know if the only trusted and recommended brand for Lion's Mane according to Stephen Buhner is still just Beneficial Botanicals?

Do not any of his other recommended sources produce it? (ie Woodland Essence, Sage Woman Herbs, etc)

Sean.scott787 There are Many different benefits for Lion's Mane in Lyme Disease. It is considered a tonic for the nervous system, and helping with cognitive function, memory, restoring Neuronal structures, it has what is called NGSF which is Nerve growth stimulant Factor which causes brain neurons to regrow and it stimulates that in both the Central and peripheral nervous system.. It is a neural regrowth stimulant helping to repair nerve damage, helping with head presdure and tightness, it may protect against dementia.. It is a strong anti inflammatory, antioxidant, it is immune boosting, supports the digestive system.. Among many other things..

Girlie, yes both Sage Woman Herbs and Woodland Essence has it as well as some of his other recommended sources.. But he has said in the past the the only place he felt comfortable recommending for Lion's Mane is Beneficial Botanicals. I was just wondering if anyone knows if he has changed his stance about that.. Especially because I am about to place an order with Sage Woman herbs so it would be easier to get it there or Woodland Essence when I place my next order with them..

Sandyfeet, No he never specifically stated why as far as I am aware.. Just that was the only source he was comfortable recommending for Lion's Mane.

That is what he said - that Beneficial Botanicals was the only Lion’s Mane he recommended. He didn’t say why, which leaves us to conjecture. My assumption has been that he recommended only theirs because it is a 1:1 ratio so is more potent. Woodland Essence, I believe, is 1:5. I have both brands but have not taken either regularly.

To answer your question, I am not aware of him changing his stance on that. He does seem pretty elusive these days and no longer answers questions on the buhnerhealinglyme site. I believe there is at least one forum member who is in a Facebook group with him, but don’t remember who it was.

Thank's Walkingbyfaith! smile Sage Woman Herbs Lion's Mane is a ratio of 1:1 as well. I could be wrong but I don't personally think it has anything to do with it being a stronger formulation. I believe he would of said so if that was the reason. I think for whatever reason at the time he said that he believed that was the only reputable source that he felt comfortable recommending to everyone.. But I could be wrong.. You said someone on here is in a Facebook group with him.. Do you mean the Buhner Healing Lyme and co-infections? Because that isn't his groupe.. It is just a groupe that was made for talking about Buhner's protocols for Lyme and co infections.. I could be wrong about this as well but according to him he dose not have any Facebook groupes or websites.. Just his 1 Facebook page..

WBF - I think you’re right - because I was ordering several tinctures from woodland essence and was thinking I wanted to try Lions Mane - when our forum moderator cd3764 was posting about it for nerve repair.
I’m pretty sure WE didn’t carry it - or I would hand added it to my order.
I didn’t want to place an order elsewhere for just the one item...
