Would adding plaquenil be worth it

I am about to start bartonella treatment and have the rifabutin and minocycline ready which I bought from reliable rx. Just wondering what you guys think about me adding plaquenil ? I know it increases medication effectiveness but is it significant? I am pretty sure rifabutin and minocycline from what you guys have told me before is effective for bart.

I was on it for 18 months with various other abx (and as pulsing at times with Tindamax) had no problems but I did see retina specialist each year to watch out for ill effects to eyes.
Overall worked out well for me.
Hope it will for you too.

If you ask Dr H - he’d maybe say yes to add the Plaquenil.

But my LLMD (Dr J) doesn’t prescribe it.

And you should go to your eye dr and get a baseline eye test done - I think it’s a Visual Fields year you need.
They will know which one to do when on Plaquenil,

My LLMD has me on Plaquenil. I have been on it for over a month but I do think it is making me feel lightheaded. It's not so bad that I feel like I need to stop taking it. I told my LLMD about it and he sees it as beneficial enough to keep on it unless the side effects worsen.

I didn't like the very, very long half life it has. (30-50 days)

So, if you do have a bad reaction: It's the gift that keeps on giving.
