I did the Quest Diagnostics WB test first, as it was cheaper. It's not quite as sensitive, but in my case came up positive. After getting a positive result there, I had the test repeated with igenex (which was also positive).

Quest Diagnostics is open Saturdays so you don't have to miss school/work. The test cost around $85 through health-tests-direct.

I don’t recommend going through Quest - if shes going to pay for testing then she should test with a reputable lab that specializes in tickborne diseases.

ie: Igenex

Yes I agree - if insurance will pay for Quest - she may as well try it - but if she has to pay a couple hundred for them - then no - I would recommend a lab that specializes in tickborne disease testing. Ie Igenex

I tested negative 5 times over a period of almost 2 years with a chain lab like quest. for some doing that is a complete waste of time and can provide false direction/hope. yeah its cheap, and covered with insurance, but what good is that, if they don't do consistent quality testing in this space. if you get lucky with a positive its great, but most cases that does not happen

had i known better i would have skipped that completely and went to MDL or Igenex initially. MDL i believe is marginally cheaper than Igenix

I don’t send my kids to school sick honestly. She just hasn’t gotten sick during school days yet. If she does get sick she will have to miss school. My preK daughter has recently missed 4 days bc of a terrible cold so I def don’t send them sick. I don’t believe in sending them to school sick. I don’t want to be the reason some other kids get sick.☹️

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories in NJ. They do quality tick borne disease testing too.

I believe they work with some insurances too.
