This is very helpful. Thabks for the hope, astroman. I am having a bad Lyme day.
I will have my doc look into thyroid. I know I have a nodule and it's not time to get it checked yet, but I will see my ENT for it. GERD is another possibility I saw on the forums. Tums?[/quote
wont quote right at all anymore, they need to fix this,
here is my reply:
Many times GERD is not from to much acid. Usually low acid, the body cant digest, it just rumbles around and the LES valve gets damaged, wont shut all the way. What triggers it to shut is low ph (high acid). Theory is the opposite makes it
open. This is why HCL supplemented can cure acid reflux. I always liked using D limoneine gels because it heals damaged LES valve tissue. Many RX ant-acids, or even Tums make GERD worse, did for me too, cause my acid was actually low.
Thyroid - need free t3 and free t4 tested, nut just tsh. Dr wont do it? explain to him her or find a better dr. There are lots of thyroid info posts here. Goggle astroman to find them.
