How did you determine that it was resistant to Rifampin?
6 months of rifampin didn't seem to make a difference. I didn't notice any difference in the herx pattern either, although one of the main signs of a bart herx is dark urine from hemolysis, which the orange color of rifampin can mask.
Also, rifampin and rifabutin are fairly similar. If rifabutin didn't work for you, what makes you think rifampin will?

I'm not taking Rifampin. I did take it a couple years ago and plateaued on it. Then I went on Babesia treatment....and now back treating bart/persisters with Rifabutin.
My LLMD says Rifabutin is more effective than Rifampin.
