Bart treatment.

What if i can not take any abx for bart? Azithromycin cause me severe palpitations... and not it's not a herx. I had my qt little prolonged yesterday. So... I can not take more macrolide, can not take bactrim, can not take minocycline (so, tetras do nothing for my Bart).... There is any abx effective for bart? Of course, can not take quinolones i near die....

I took banderol, cumanda, japanese at high dose and nothing happen.

Maybe zhangs houttynia?

Yes Girlie, i tolerate ceftin and cefdinir. Rifabutin maybe a better choise right?

I'll add HH capsules.

I'm afraid because i'm still having a feeling of dying of infarct... because it's only 24h out azitro....

Have you tried boneset? Boneset herb really helped my bartonella symptoms a lot. Also garlic is good for everything.

I'm going to try it seberg. Good idea try allicin.

Do you think houttuynia go systemic? Into joints, muscles etc.... brain etc...

A-Bart has clove, I've found it to be the most effective herb against bart in my case.

It seems very tentative! I'll buy it. Thank you acarined and sebreg. I don't know it has clove. It's really active agains Bart.

I hope HH capsules, Allicin and A-Bart + lyme treatment could knock out Bart. If not it has a poor prognosis

What about bruhners Bart protocol ? Your not thinking of doing that? What do you see as a waeakness there?

How about sida acuta?

I believe HH is Zhang houttuynia - a good brand.

Buhner bart - I believe the core protocol is JK, Sida acuta, houttunia and a few others.

I think A-Bart (Byron White formula) has to be ordered by a practitioner - not sure though.

I got rifampin-resistant bartonella. It was also resistant to clarithromycin and amoxicillin. However, it was susceptible to minocycline.

Due to bartonella being spread by cats, and cats being fed antibiotics by people, bartonella is highly likely to be antibiotic-resistant, often to multiple drugs.

Rifabutin can be used... best to take it with at least one more antibiotic.

Mino alone usually won’t effectively treat it.

I'm worried about that. Finding another antibiotic that it's not resistant to may be difficult.

6 months of rifampin didn't seem to make a difference. I didn't notice any difference in the herx pattern either, although one of the main signs of a bart herx is dark urine from hemolysis, which the orange color of rifampin can mask.

Also, rifampin and rifabutin are fairly similar. If rifabutin didn't work for you, what makes you think rifampin will?

I'm not taking Rifampin. I did take it a couple years ago and plateaued on it. Then I went on Babesia treatment....and now back treating bart/persisters with Rifabutin.

My LLMD says Rifabutin is more effective than Rifampin.

Quin, have you tried HH capsules and allicin like said seberg? I'll try it...

There is another option, telithromycin, but it's a dangerous drug...

I'll try again l-Arginine, SIDA acutta, japanese knotweed, and HH capsules... with the abxs.

I've read some posts about cholamphenicol to treat Bartonella Barcilloformis, but again it's a dangerous stuff... like quinolones if not even worse... you know.

I completed 3 mo of rifampin and plaquenil at the end of November. It was rough. Felt worse and lost 50% of my hair (so depressing). Had three days after finishing were I felt decent (it could have been that the meds were so harsh though) but now I feel like I’m in an even deeper hole symptom wise. My llmd has suggested we “pause” and heal alittle. So I pulsed flagyl for two weeks. Now I’m only taking: truflora and theralac, magnesium, D3/K2 5 drops, biotin, 1cc 25mg Methylcobalamin injection, milk thistle...will add ATP Fluel on Monday and then Trifortify the following Monday.
I believe this is to help my adrenals and pathways. I could be wrong.

Interested in the BW formulas. And A-Bart is on my possibilities when we get back to killing things. I believe the formula I tried was A-1. I didn’t make it through bc we started abx. I may have a coupon code for them. I know I ordered them myself and they were delivered to me.
