I've been putting off finding an LLMD for quite some time now. Partly because I'm scared of the cost, partly because I'm a little scared of what might come from it and what it could mean for my future if I actually do have lyme. Also because I've just been so drained from work, I've been using any free time I have to rest instead of research. But I know I can't put it off forever. The reality is I'm not feeling much better and it is affecting my work (and life in general) negatively. (HAVING A JOB IS SO HARD! how do you guys do it!?)
So I've got to find a solution. I guess finding an LLMD, showing them my results, talking about
symptoms, and getting their opinion is the first step. I have what I feel is a dumb question, though. Do I need to get a reference from a current doctor to an LLMD for an appointment, or can I contact an LLMD myself to set up an appointment?
While I'm posting, if anybody knows of any good LLMDs in Northern California (San Francisco &up), would you mind sharing their info with me? Would be greatly appreciated
(I'm located near the top of the state, so SF is a little more than a 4 hour drive, but I'm willing to travel. Sacramento would also work. Redding would be easiest, but for some reason doubt there are any there. Heck, I can even drive up to the southern half of Oregon if needed.)
Thank you for your time! Hope everyone is doing well <3
