Anyone heard of the VCS test?

My doctor told me to take it. It's an online test but I really don't know anything about it. Here is a link:

I think I just barely failed. My left eye passed but my right didn't.

Yes , I’ve taken it a few times.

Is it still free the first time?

I passed but a few areas dipped if I’m remembering correctly... and I also had one eye better than the other.

Not sure how useful it is as a predictor if mold toxicity

I failed miserably both times I took it. But I suffer from CIRS, so it's expected.

I use https://www.vcstest.com. I have CIRS, and it always show nutritional deficiencies too. I've taken it several times and always failed. It was a good tool to initially suspect CIRS though.

Yep. My house is filled with mold according to the Mycometrics testing, but I got 100% all three times I took the VCS test, so my doctor concluded that my high c4a and other symptoms were attributable to Lyme primarily and probably not mold. Not sure how accurate it is for ruling out mold issues, but I would take the mold issue more seriously if I scored poorly on the test. Plus don't you love tests that are quick, cheap, painless, and done from home? smile

I did take VCS test while back spring 2018 when just got positive test for lyme, but that sensory test was negative.
Recently i finally made Mycotoxins tests and it was positive for several toxins, I did take another VCS test and it came negative..
So I wouldn’t really trust it

I took it twice and passed it, then took it the day following an IR sauna and failed it. However i still haven't had a doc suspect i have mold or CIRS because my c4a is always normal. It's confusing

Mm well they charged me, it said $15 for one and $40 for 4, I guess you can take them over time to see if they improve.

You have to be a certain distance from the screen and also monitor resolution comes into play. I fail at home but pass at doctors office. I don’t put much faith in it.

Yep I had to pay for it, on that website. I was about 18in from the screen but it was at night and lit by a lamp so I'm not sure how accurate it was. My doc said it wasn't bad enough to indicate biotoxin illness so I guess that's a good thing.

I'm curious to know if anyone things they could have gotton a failed test without having Mold issues. My theory is, since Lyme produces toxins it could produce the same VC issues? My doctor said no, this would not occur, but more and more i think doctors try to fit you in to their box as opposed to adjusting per case (e.g. go to an LLMD and you WILL be diagnosed with Lyme, go to a Shoemaker certified doctor and guess what... you have mold exposure!)

I have CIRS from mold. My Functional MD who diagnosed me with CIRS did the test in her office each visit. When I asked, I was told I never failed it. I absolutely have CIRS from mold. It was confirmed by all the other CIRS tests (bloodwork) and the Realtime Labs test for mycotoxins in my body. The ERMI test on my house and workplace confirmed long term exposure to toxic molds in both locations.

The VCS is simply a screening tool. I don’t know if any toxins will affect the test results or only mold.

From everything i read it only applies to about 90% of people? So it's not a perfect tool, but i believe besides the 10% false negatives it's pretty reliable if your eyesight is good? In other words, it doesn't produce very many false positives?

Hey Jb1994 - my mistake we do not have the same doctor as I live in NJ but I am intrigued because my lyme doctor requested I do the VCS test and have never seen it on this forum or have heard other lyme doctors mention such a test so I thought this might of been the same doctor! Good luck with everything!
