I’m so much better after 4 years of treatment but I have 2 symptoms that are driving me nuts lately.
1) Temperature dysregulation. My poor family: I keep the thermostat turned to 66 degrees when I can get away with it because with the slightest exertion my face and scalp perspire and my hair will actually get wet. It was really bad last summer but today it’s 30 degrees and snowing here in Western PA and I can go outside right now and shovel and break into a sweat right away. It’s not because I’m a couch potato, I work in our machine shop lifting, bending, hoisting and moving every day. It’s like my thermostat is totally out of whack.
2) my heart has been “poundy” lately and if I use my arms above my head, my shoulders will get fatigued and feel a weird cool/chilled sensation. Fatigue like if you’ve had the flu and are getting better but have to climb a flight of steps and you get that washed-out feeling.
I increased my magnesium and potassium in case it’s electrolyte related and that may be helping the fatigue, but this overheating with the smallest exertion is really annoying. It drains my energy like when I’m hot on a summer day.
Thanks for any ideas.
It could be ANS dysfunction from Bartonella. Temperature regulation, heart rate, blood pressure ... etc are part of the ANS
I regularly get “shivers” in my body along with POTS symptoms of high heart rate when I stand up - in the evenings I will randomly sweat here and there.
It’s getting better with treatment - slowly.
My thyroid is fine (TSH/FT3/FT4 checked several times over past 5 years)
