Mbressi02,
It sounds like you are on the right path. You can check with Girlie regarding your Lyme doctor to see what others have reported about
him/her. Since you are early in treatment, I would advise making sure you start out with a good, experienced doc with a record of getting people well or at least significantly better. Sounds like you have such a doc, but getting reassurance from others who have knowledge of the doc can be quite valuable, as treating these illnesses can be very intense and confusing. Being able to trust your doc and feeling that you are in good hands can help a lot with the mental stress of dealing with these illnesses.
Yes, it sounds like Lyme, bartonella, and more. Red dots could be a number of things, including spotted fevers.
Treatment can be long and you have been sick for a while. Don’t expect this to be a quick fix. Treating tick diseases is nothing like treating a sinus infection or other acute illness. It’s a long, multi-faceted process.
If your doc is focused only on treating the infections, you will likely need a Functional MD or naturopath to help with gut issues, hormone imbalance, etc. If you have not seen a Functional MD and one is available near you, I would recommend seeing one, especially considering your testicular and sleep issues. Functional MD’s are much better at broader testing and interpretation of test results. They can help get your body functioning better which should help you tolerate treatment better, as well.
