Anyone have feedback on using Tree or Life, Dr Bob Miller, for genetic counseling and MTHFR issues? Thinking of using their genetic test vs 23 and me and having a phone consult to go over genetics and pathways.

I've sent my DNA last month and will be having my appointment with dr. Miller end of April.
I'll be glad to give feedback but I have none, yet.

Out of curiosity, was that test recommended by your LLMD? If so, in which state are you?
Curious to see if we have the same..

I’ve spoken with bob miller a few times. Supps are expensive. He doesn’t put too much into Mthfr. Focuses a lot on excess glutamate, hydrogen peroxide and too much iron stuck in cells. I would recommend listening to his interview with betterhealthguy or lyme ninja.

My one issue is that everytime i speak with him he has a new gene that he thinks is the key to my issues. And with that usually comes 2-3 new supplements. I think its helpful, but not sure how much of a role genetics plays for me.

I am considering seeing him if I can ever afford the supplements. Right now it isn't looking hopeful. But I have a friend who still sees him, and she says it helped her tremendously. It's a cool idea. I just don't know where all of the money will come from.

The test was not recommended by my LLND. Something I am considering doing on my own. Especially interested in the MTHFR and Folate genes. I have seen other options such as using Max Gen Labs and Dr Amy Yasko has a test also and recommends supplements. Dr Yasko is only MTHFR issues but pricey also. I know Ben Lynch is coming out with something but that is not till the end of the year I believe. I am in WI.

Interesting..I never heard of this Dr or his custom genetic test. I wonder who does this for him. Its not like you can just call a lab and have them throw a gene test together.

Anyone care to say how much his test costs? And how many genes are listed in the report?

My Sterling App decoder for 23and me reported on about 400 genes for $50. 23andme back then was $150 I think.

I see he will use a 23andme test from before Aug 2017 (version V).

I've had phone consult with Dr Miller after he ran a program using my 23andme results.

Recently I watched a Dr Ben Lynch video and asked if he used a different program than Bob Miller's. He said it would be the same.

Soon though, Dr Lynchs office said there will be a new program that gives more info and I plan to do it again then with them.
