Girlie, we can't just assume that he meant 4 ounces. He could have meant something else. Otherwise, do you mean to say that he wanted us to drink a quarter pound of knotweed a day? That would be a pound of knotweed every 4 days. A pound of knotweed on the net is ~40 bucks. I don't think my stomach could handle that, let alone my wallet.

This was the conversation:

~
Dosage section for Japanese Knotweed, under Decoction (p. 339) :
How much of the herb in 32 oz water?
four ounces does not equal 7 grams.
Also, less important: is this for powdered herb or "cut and sifted" or chopped? Or does it matter?
~
ahhh, thanks, we try but . . . probably good though as I have heard that the gods hate perfection and get even
anyway, thanks
and most people just use cut and sifted though it might be good to distinguish, thanks again
not sure why I paid the proof reader $2500, this is about the 45th error found ~
So what is it supposed to be? 1/4 oz? still 7 grams?
I'll proof read your 3rd edition! Heh heh

not sure yet, I have to read through the text and figure out what I meant, it’s been awhile
probably 4 ounces I don’t think I have ever put ¼ ounce in anything, just too tiny an amount ~
I don't think anyone is consuming a quarter pound of knotweed a day... that's expensive!!!

The conversation ended right there.
