Stopping antibiotics

about a month ago, I stopped my antibiotics, but continued herbals. For the last 3 weeks or so I started having pretty severe tingling in feet and hands all the time, face numbness. I have severe neck and head pain. Restless legs. Burning skin and allover muscle pain. I had been on antibiotics for 10 months. My stomach is better, but otherwise I believe I'm worse. I also feel like crying for no reason

Should I go back on antibiotics? I really don't want to lose ground.

Yes - since they were working - what ones were you on?

Maybe discuss with your LLMD a weaning off approach?

I was on doxy and Bactrim at the last. When I stopped abx my doctor added banderol and cats claw.

That sounds like a histamine reaction to me, or cytokine reaction. How come you stopped them?

They were hurting my stomach? I was severely nauseated all the time. I did take probiotics.

I also have the burning skin, facial numbness, crushing headaches. These symptoms increase dramatically and spread every time I decrease any one of the multiple antibiotics that I am on. In my opinion, you should consult with your llmd and let them know how your stomach is reacting and maybe they can make some changes that will allow you to return to antibiotics? In a way I hate to persuade you to return to long term antibiotics but in my experience they are the only thing that has helped reduce/eliminate some of my symptoms.

Are you asking me if they hurt your stomach? They can mess up your gut for sure. But so can Lyme.

Did you take them with food?
Sandwich the abx - ie eat some food - take abx and finish eating

This makes me scared to come off my antibiotics. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. How long have you had Lyme prior to treating? I’d for sure talk to your LLMD about this.

I have had Lyme for many years. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and depression. My doctor believes it was all lyme
