Colloidal silver Reaction?

went to a doc today for my Sinusitis and he gave me a Colloidal silver IV (and a IM shot of rocephin)

I had a pretty bad reaction and had my chest and back covered in red rashes by the time I left.

Can people have allergic reactions to silver? I thought it was pretty safe/low dose.

Could be either. Was that your first experience with both silver and rocephin?

Yes.

I've never had abx reactions, but first time I've had rocephin as well.

Irony I think, the doc did all kinds of muscle testing of different agents (silver, abx, placebo etc) before the IV and "honed" in on colloidal as something my body needed.. NOT.

honestly I don't know what to make of his technique.

With silver, I had nothing but good experience. With rocephin, had the worst reaction I've ever had with any medicine - bad shakes, high fever, rash. It was IV, though.

Also, the smaller the particles in silver, the better. Larger particles are harder on the body to use and eliminate. I used Argentyn 23.

Do you still have to be taking either, and what do you take for Lyme, if you are still treating? Rocephin is supposed to be good against sinus infections, so I wonder why he chose both, as you seem to wonder?

right now, not treating Lyme at the moment, going to go along with a new practitioner familiar with CIRS/Shoemaker protocol to check things out before tackling abx again.

Rashes can often just be an immune or bacteria response. For example:

Years ago I had strep throat. I was give Augmentin and broke out in hives all over.

Fast forward to now and I am taking Augmentin for lyme with no rash what so ever.
