Girlie, I'm in the middle of Canada. I know some NP's treat lyme. My experience with 3 of them so far has not been inspiring....on consult, one very well known "lyme NP" in AB said that I can't have Lyme because he/she hadn't seen my particular presentation before. (Neuro symptoms, fainting, joint pain, Hypertension, known bites, rash, brain fog, adrenalin surges, pressure headaches, neck stiffness, huge lymph nodes on one side of neck, positive lyme test at Armin). Wow, what an ego....my symptoms go perfectly with literature, but for him/her to believe me, I'd have to follow what he/she's already seen exactly. And they really charge a lot to tell you that. I was floored and my trust in the general area was really wrecked. I do have to say that one NP I saw at least got me tested with Armin labs, which I thought was helpful.
I have to laugh that my colloquialism above was starred out, lol. Maybe I spelled the dutch word for a barrier against flooding, incorrectly. LOL. It's a common saying for illustrating a small person against a big event...putting your thumb in a hole in a barrier that keeps the whole ocean at bay....that's how this feels some days!
I have to say, I think the anti-inflammatory diet feels pretty decent, and I've only been on it for 4 days so far. It's really restrictive, but I can see the point at least. I just hope it's in time to turn some of these things around and boost my immune system adequately to fight the lyme.
BC has the better llnd’s - I know several people from Alberta who go to bc.
I haven’t heard any good things about
the Alberta ones yet.
LLND EC is the most popular one - most experienced and knowledgeable. He got me so far but didn’t treat Babesia so that’s why I left.
