It make me sad... for example phillips have a wait list of a more than a year... totally for what? To end prescribing tetracycline that you can easilly get on internet...

Sorry friends but it make me very sad when i think on that and i see that doctors treat us like vagabunds... In fact i feel like a vagabund here in Spain, buying abx without prescription. Or when i'm on ER because heart symptoms i can't talk with liberty... because if i say i'm taking abx they treat you of paranoid, etc... Paranoid parasitosis.

girlie, 100% sure i can’t say it was flu like sindrome but my kidneys started to fail again plus severe pain, 48h later all is fine on biaxin and flagyl.

Yes, girlie i know there are a lot of llmd with high experience, but there are a lot of that arr charlatans, specially in europe

I think it was about 3 months and that was not pulsed.

No heart issues with it...not that I know of...no symptoms .

So your GFR was 60 and 48 hours after stopping it's > 90?

Was it holding at 60?

Mine went into the 50's. and bounced back to over 60 usually after a week or less of stopping.

I took Biaxin initially when treating babesia/lyme before switching to bartonella/lyme focus. I was taking Biaxin/Ceftin/Plaquenil/Mepron. it was a great combo. it was right when the FDA made their annoucement about the warning for Biaxin. when discussing with my LLMD at the time, it was deemed that warning wasn't a blanket warning to all users of Biaxin, but those with specific heart conditions that maybe impacted. Not sure if that has changed or if there have been more findings since then.

i agree with OriolCarol about there being a lot of charlatans in this business. lack of diagnostic tools and treatment standards, have paved the way for the wild west we deal with. i think the LLMDs know, what drugs work and what don't, or ones that have minimal effect showing some subtle improvement. they need to keep customers coming, otherwise they fold up. just like they have to keep up social media status, etc. just look at any lyme related conference, you can see who likes to be in the spotlight, some for genuine purpose, and others for questionable purposes.

yeah that warning is the QT interval warning, that comes with most macrolides. the Biaxin warning was different, it applied mainly to people with cardiovascular disease

Yeah, its a scary announcement, came from the FDA after a ten year study. Seems to be focused on patients with existing cardiovascular disease though.

Wonder if any patients in the study were taking it for TBD
