Hi I'm new here and would appreciate a Lyme Doctor near Allentown PA. I am willing to drive 1 hour in any direction. Its for my son who has been having Lyme symptoms neurologically for the past year. He did get 2 lyme test but they weren't high enough by CDC to be be considered positive. He was on Cats Claw for 6 weeks and started to help in the beginning but symptoms keep coming back. Thinking he might need antibiotics.
Any suggestions or thoughts!

I am not sure if this in within hour 1 hour drive time, this just opened in Pike County, PA. I am still trying to get my husband to go.

I did know about them and called today but there was NO answer. I think they are only in on Wednesdays.
I will let you know if I decide to take my son.

Sorry your husband has lyme - how long has he had symptoms?


Not sure if he is willing to travel - but there is a great lyme clinic in Washington DC.
One of the best and most experienced llmd’s has a clinic there.

I live right by Allentown, in Bethlehem. There are no LLMDs close to the area, any decent doc you will have to travel for. out of curiosity, i too called the Pike County place, they never called back. I think they are inundated with new patients since there announcement. Note you will not get any help at Lehigh Valley Health Network or St Lukes Health Network, both are lyme illiterate and follow CDC guidelines.

The Lehigh Valley Lyme Support group is helpful for somethings.

I tried various LLMDs in the neighboring states, each one as their pros/cons, there are no LLMDs in this region that fits every requirement.

Hi Girlie, He was Dx in January, but we figure he had it at least 9 months if not a year by then. Before he was Dx he had gone to several Dr's with strange symptoms. Knee pain and it felt hot, jaw pain it locked, eye pain and seeing sparks. The last 2 weeks of December 2018 he went to the local hospital in East Stroudsburg, every day if not twice a day. He keep saying something is really really wrong. He had blood pressure issues sometimes to high others to low, pains, head ache, panic attacks, one night he had a gall bladder attack. Each time they would watch and do blood work, which showed nothing. The last time we went to the ER, a woman Dr came in and said Oh you again and preceded to belittle and argue with him? I read her the riot act for not being professional or listening to someone that needs help! When the person came in to take care of the bill I told her we were leaving because this hospital was absolutely no help. We went the same night to Lehigh Valley hospital in Cedar Crest, they took him seriously and kept him for 2 days. Did a lot of blood work but found he has Lyme.
