There is Omnicef if you're wanting an oral Cephalosporon antibiotic.
Omnicef (or Ceftin in Canada because Omnicef isn't available) - is a commonly prescribed antibiotic for lyme.
Omnicef? Is that like oral ceftriaxone? I'm confused.
I also just read the ceftriaxone (IV) can cause gallbladder problems. I wonder if the injections can, too.
Wondering if I should do this. :-(
================================================================================
There are a few different Cephalosporin antibiotics that are used to treat lyme.
I believe that Ceftriaxone is a 3rd generation cephalosporin ....as is Omnicef and I think Ceftin, too.
Are you talking about
intramuscular injections? If so, I don't think they are hard on the gallbladder like the IV is.
You should be taking ursodiol if you're on IV abx for gall bladder protection.
