Going to see my LLMD one last time. Advice.?

Hi everyone. I’m eights months into treating with antibiotics. I’m about 85% better., my lingering symptoms are fatigue, headaches and tinnitus. I’ve spent all of my savings on treating. I have enough money to visit my LLMD one last time. I’m guessing she will refill my antibiotics so that I’ll be able to finish nine full months of treating. I should mention that thanks to The Ticked Off Foundation I’ll be treating for six full months of the Cowden protocol for a discounted price which I’ll start next month once I’m off antibiotics. Are there any supplements that I should stay on long term? Are there any final tests I should have my LLMD give me? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would get all the testing the doctor is willing to order, especially if covered by insurance - CBC, metabolic panel, full thyroid, liver, kidneys, IGG subclasses, CD57, antibodies (my doctor tests every time for gliadin, Candida, mycoplasma, chlamydia pneumontia, Lyme Western blot, bartonella, babesia, RMSF, and more).

If you have or suspect mold, I would do CIRS labs, too.

Has your tinnitus improved at all or is it the same as when you began treatment?

Have you checked parasites or trialed parasite meds? With tinnitus, headache, fatigue I’d consider parasites. Possibly dental issues (cavitations) or mold as WBF suggested.

Hi e everyone no I have not looked into parasites so I’ll be sure to bring that up to her. The tinnitus is still the same as it was at the beginning of treatment so it’s kind of weird. I wonder if it could be a Herx reaction? Thank you for all the advice!

My pulsatile tinnitus went away on Babesia treatment - I think when I finished Babs treatment it was like 90% better and has completely resolved since then.

I would recommend using Milk Thistle (if haven't started already) and keep on B12, magnesium and probiotics as a minimum when doing Cowden. In your short time with LLMD did you address Bart or Babs (as Girlie pointed out)?

You can order tests through requestatest.com yourself no doctor needed if you live in the US. That gives you an option if you are concerned about something. They work with Labcorp and Quest. Ive found the tests to be much cheaper then using my insurance.

They even test for Lyme - not for bart and Babs tho

Thanks so much everyone! I’m on Rifampin right now so hopefully that will help the Bart. I never tested positive but do believe I have it.

What other antibiotic are you taking with the Rifampin?

I’m on Mino, Flagyl twice a week, Nystatin, Difulcan every other day.
