Hello lymies

This will be long, thank you to anyone willing to listen and offer their knowledge and insights. I haven't spoken to anyone about any of this.

I haven't been officially diagnosed with Lyme's, but I am fairly certain it's what I've been suffering from for years. For the record I'm in my mid thirties. I feel like I'm ninety. I've been searching and trying so many treatments (herbal, vitamins, even water fasted for 30 days once) in an attempt to feel better. Lately I've felt like if I could be put down things would be so much better.

Things have gotten to the point where I can no longer fly blind and I must see a doctor for testing. I won't go into my history with doctors and why I have zero faith in them as it's quite a long story. However, I do think there are genuinely good doctors out there who really do help people it's just difficult to find them.

If you would be so kind as to tell me where to begin, I would greatly appreciate it. I am currently experiencing a lot of numbness and nerve pain in my hands and feet, this has been the "final" straw to make me become serious about finding a good doctor. I have had this for about a month now and I began supplementing heavily the following: b complex extended release, NAC, krill and cod liver oil, gnc women's multiple vitamin, natural calm plus calcium, probiotic w/ prebiotic, viactiv, diotamaceous Earth, baking soda, zinc, l-theanine, and dl-phenylanine. MSM mixed into lotion applied once per day to my feet and hands. Magnesium foot baths once a week. Increased time sitting in the sun daily with bare feet touching the ground. Today I began taking 3k mg vit c and 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt every few hours. This has amazingly just after the first dosage made it so that I'm not hissing in pain every time I get up from sitting down as my joints and especially the bottoms of my feet hurt insanely until I walk ten to fifteen steps. My knuckles in my hands also aren't hurting quite so much but still feel very stiff.

I did have a slight reduction in the severity of the numbness and pain in my hands/wrists/forearms abd my feet after I began the protocol minus the salt/vit c, (no noticeable improvement from that yet but it's only been half a day), but I am still having numbness/achiness in my hands and pains that shoot up my arms towards my elbows even while awake. I am able to sleep and wake with less pain (I was waking multiple times a night with intense pains in my arms and feet and it would take five to ten minutes to flex and get the pain to reduce just back to "uncomfortable" to return to sleep.).

Other symptoms have been

Paper skin
Migraines very frequently
Exhaustion all the time, takes immense amounts of guilt and pep talking to get myself to do the necessaries, and I have to pick and choose because my energy runs out quickly
Joint pain/clicking knees, hips
Memory issues especially short term
Extremely high sensitivity to scents/chemicals causes migraines
Light sensitivity, can not function well without sun glasses outside
Vision changes that I always thought were due to my menstrual cycle as my vision declined drastically about a week before until the last day. (I told my husband once it was a lady's version of beer goggles to ensure the continuation of our kind lol)
Anxiety and depression
Feel like I can never breathe a deep enough breath
TMI Until I started this supplementing I only pooped maybe 1-2x a week
Until the supplementing my urine reeked of ammonia even though I drink a lot of water and juice frequently veggies with a couple fruits.


Where do I go and what kind of testing do I ask for? I am about 45 minutes from Columbus, an hour 15 from Atlanta. I don't have a family doctor but I do have good health insurance.

Thank you, Girlie. I did read through all of the first post before I posted. Once I figure out how to message you I will.

Do you think going straight to the llmd is a good idea? I had read that the testing isn't very accurate and I think I've had this for years. I don't ever recall a rash. I have been bitten recently but I've had these symptoms before that. I don't want the llmd to be annoyed that I skipped channels.
