Thanks Girlie. He's been on this protocol for 8 weeks - and had a few weeks more doxy before he started it. The clinic retested him using the German BCA lab and the markers they use for the three infections were lower last time around than after 7 weeks treatment. His CD57 (although I gather that isn't really a reliable marker of anything other than possible related in some way to immune status) has gone up a little bit but still very low.
I've just looked it all up and it is Lymespot and Bartonella Elispot - perhaps it means that his body is now producing increased levels of antibodies?
He had been making good progress with increased energy levels but set back a bit this week with a viral infection (which his girlfriend has too...) He's been given another 8 week plan with review again in 7 weeks and I had come to the conclusion a while ago to expect it to take time.
I guess I am just wondering if there is anything in all of this to worry myself more about
;-)
