Question for the ladies

Pre Lyme I always had pretty normal periods 4 days bleeding(normal red blood) minimal cramping etc ..life was easy🥴
For the last two years that I have been living with lyme and my periods have gone nuts ..I am not 100% what is going on but I’m pretty sure I have low progesterone- i spot for a couple of days before my period , I stop spotting for a day then my period arrives it is usually quite watery reddish pink and lasts 2 -3 days max ( now this may be tmi but the flow only comes if I’m urinating - or standing up so it’s quite light )I cramp a lot during my period my hips and lower back ache etc. I am looking to see if anyone has any ideas of what to take I have taken vitex liquid form (15drops morning and 15 night) for a month and it didn’t really make a difference - maybe i need to try this again for a longer period of time -I also take b6 , magnesium and zinc for over a year -does anyone one recommend anything else that could help me out - lyme wise I’m doing ok this is something that I thought would resolve once I started to feel better but it hasn’t really changed .. I am looking for some natural remedies if anyone has any other suggestions maybe some diet changes that could help or has helped others? Thank you

Vitex is a great thing to try, but it usually takes longer than one month to see effects. Another thing to look into is seed cycling. Also a good idea to make sure you're getting plenty of omega 3s, selenium, and iron. Karuna makes a good progesterone cream but I never recommend adding hormones to your system without multiple tests of all hormone systems, as symptoms aren't always an accurate indicator of what's high and what's low. (Anecdote: I make no estrogen, but I have all the symptoms of estrogen dominance. I make normal amounts of cortisol, but I have all the symptoms of low cortisol, because my body is using cortisol to replace the estrogen it isn't making! I didn't realize this stuff was possible, but my Lyme-literate functional medicine gynecologist explained it all to me as though she sees it every day.) It's common (for all sexes) for Lyme to alter hormonal levels. Also keep in mind that your hormone systems are connected, so your pituitary hormones being out of whack can throw off your adrenal hormones and vice versa. This all can be related to your hypothalamus and neurological signals, so some find that focusing on neurological health and gut health (where we make neurotransmitters) helps.

saraeli- that's crazy, I've never heard of that nor known it was possible. What is seed cycling? My prog is and has been low for years and I'm currently on sublingual hormones. Nothing has helped raise it. Cleaning up your diet will lay the groundwork but won't fix it.

Oh ok, too bad I'm allergic to sesame seeds lol. Oh well.

How low was you TSH?


And we’re your FT3 and FT4 in range when you had the really low TSH?

What’s WNL ?

We’re they on the high end -close to the end of the ranges?

T3 was low end of normal
T4 was high end of normal

Hmm - with hyper thyroid - I thought you’d have high FT3.

These tests were the Free right?
