Hi guys. Just wanted to update since everyone here was super nice and helpful. It looks like my test is pretty negative
The IGM was only positive for 30 and ind on 41 and the IGG is only ind for 41.
I don't want Lyme disease really but tris felt like my last hope. Now I feel like I'll never find out what's going on

What lab did the testing?

You can’t rule out Lyme disease because of false test results. There is a high percentage of false negatives.

What’s your history - ie tick bites.... bullseye rash..... symptoms ... etc.

Lyme is a clinical diagnosis with testing used as a back up.

And you did treat several years ago right? And it resolved some symptoms at the time?

Here's a cut-and-paste from part of a comment I posted in another thread:


Interestingly, the following was noted on my Lyme results:

"The Code of Virginia, Article 1 of Chapter 5 of Title 32.1, section 32.1-137.06, requires that the following language must be included on every Lyme disease test report issued by a Virginia laboratory:
'Patients undergoing a lyme disease test should be aware that lyme disease tests vary and may produce results that are inaccurate. This means a patient may not be able to rely on a positive or negative result. Health care providers are encouraged to discuss lyme disease test results with the patient for whom the test was ordered.'"

So, since my blood was sent to a lab in Virginia, that comment was added.

Igenex did the testing. I have history of tick bite and symptoms. My doctor also said that the test isn't always right. I guess I just thought if I had it that at least a couple bands would be positive.
She still wants me to try treatment for it and see if it helps.
Also I have low vitamin d and omega 3. And I'm allergic to wheat and gluten according to the test. She also thinks I probably have mold issues since the symptoms got worse after living in a very moldy apartment for a year. Then she said something about mast cell activation. Or something like that? I have to look into it more because I'm not sure what that is lol

Lyme can be a clinical diagnoses, I suggest you get on two antibiotics for 30days like maybe ceftin and doxy or mino and then see if you feel better while on them and then stop for 15 days and test again your results will change, but if you feel better on them you have lyme or coinfections. That simple

I only tested positive on one band 39 from nordx. I then took herbs for 4 weeks and tested again with MDL labs and was positive on 8-10 bands. Nearly a perfect score!!

Definitely don't rule out mold.

A woman on the bvt group I belong to has Als. She also has had toxic mold exposure and lyme. She has done a lot of research and come to the conclusion that in many lyme patients, fungal infections are the primary issue and that lyme is acting as an opportunistic infection.

It seems feasible. Many many people practicing bvt are getting better. But it seems that the ones that aren't are dealing with some type of fungal issue.

Just something to consider.

Yes, mold can trigger mast cell activation. I’m dealing with both right now. Glad you have a doctor covering multiple bases.
