jb1994...ive followed your posts, and the weight gain no matter what i eat, and inability to lose no matter what is common for me too....i was told as long as you have bart your metabolism and/or massive water retention wont get better.....

as for singulair i took it for one week and i cried alot...it was weird bc i wasnt in a dark place like i normally am with this hideous combo of infections...i stopped, re-started and started crying again over the next wk....thats one of the listed side effects and its not for me..

my mcas reactions are down over the last 4 months.....i take a claritin twice a day, quercetin 2x, ancestral supplements kidney organ which is a dao ( i swear by their supplements for building immune system back), colostrum to lessen leaky gut, and the most important thing is cannabis oil (full plant, not just cbd)...the first couple of days i definitelyy reacted to it, but after it builds up in system over 3 days im not itchy or reactive at all...i dont love the thc feeling so i take at night, sleep like a baby, and am much less reactive trhoughout day....Dr afrin, the father of mcas, writes that cannabis seems to bond to receptors that helps his mcas patients http://www.mastcelldisease.com/mast-cell-disease-medical-marijuana/

You could come to Canada... my husband asked me a few days ago if I wanted to go to a pot store and buy some.

I am on it. It is one of my favorites because it hits a different form of allergy inducing compounds called leukotrienes. All other meds are anti histamines.

I take it. Made me drowsy in the beginning like the H1 blockers but otherwise no problems

dbwilco - ah, yes, weight gain seems to be a big Bart symptom. I'm going to ask to start treating that then. Right now we are on Buhner Lyme herbs but I don't think that's that big of a problem. I can't remember if memory is serving correctly but someone said if the co-infections are under control then the Lyme won't be as able to thrive and symptoms should recede. It might have been the other way around but I think that was it. I didn't know cannabis helped, I might have to look into that again. Though cannabis makes my mind go stir crazy if I have just a little too much and I recently almost had a panic attack from using it. Maybe I'll just ask my LLMD about taking DAO enzymes instead.

It seems pretty cheap to try, I guess. I could always stop if I see any signs of weight gain. Ugh. He prescribed Cromolyn as well and I'm much more inclined to just use that one.
