Hi:

Now have another persons Lyme test results.... this one is more fuzzy....

Persons only interesting Symptom was numb feet and lower legs, same on both legs... started 5 years ago - stopped 2 years ago... Nerve Conduction Tests were normal when the legs were numb....
Then 2 years ago - newer symptom is numb scalp, worse when under high stress....that faded away over several months, and scalp numbness is now gone.

Now the only symptom is now a numb face... Numb from just below eyes, both cheeks are numb and numbness ends below chin... Numbness is identical on both sides.... ( so is this just stress...or a Lyme Symptom maybe exaggerated with stress)
Test Results - IGenex IgG (Which is tagged as a Negative Result)
31 - INDETERMINATE
41 ++
58 +

What do you think of this one..... ?????

Where do you live? If your in a high percentage area that can certainly weigh in the probability.

Band 41 is flagella of a spirochete - if it’s not lyme - then what ?

And 31 is usually lyme

I don’t think it’s stress...

A visit to an experienced lyme doc would be an idea.

41 cross reacts with some viruses. On its own I'd say it doesn't mean very much. However, 31 is specific to Lyme so an IND result there definitely means something.

Band 41 can be Lyme, Relapsing Fever, Pintas and Yaws, Syphillis, and dental spirochetes.

If you don't have the above..... then coupled with the band 31 - along with symptoms...then you can hang your hat on lyme.

The testing is a backup to clinical diagnosis.
