How long after antibiotics for lyme test

I had a deer tick bite in June and was supposed to get tested end of July. Did 2 weeks mino. Then I had a spider bite and now a cat bite, I did 6 days augmentin for the cat bite and now I am on diflucan both off which have knocked me out. Will this all affect the test and how long should I wait?

Thanks, I just had it done last week with other bw, about 2-3 weeks after the bite. Results come on Tuesday for me. I have not been feeling well at all but I think it is stress and the bite and augmentin etc. plus we ate at a restaurant and it gave us cramps etc. I have been so stressed and had to trap the cat for observation. Although he was vaccinated tnr last Aug there is still a rabies risk. Worrying about rabies made everything else seem minor. Well except for diabetes etc. lol. I have not felt well since diflucan really but it knocked out the yeast pretty well.

This guy is such a sweetie and was not attacking me but I think he was scared or trying to stop me walking away. He has been my outside buddy this summer. If anyone wants a cat who needs more socialization but is super great let me know. I am trying to find him a home because my indoor cat seems to hate him now and my family does not want him to stay. He is fiv/ felv neg and a big ginger guy, very beautiful.

I saw my results at hospital lab IgG & IgM - neg less than.90. No levels or bands. Doc ordered western Blot and eliza. I am not sure if they did wb. There was another neg result too so I guess that was eliza. I went to labcorp this time because my ins won't fully cover the hospital lab, but my tests still show up there if the doc is there. I should have gone to Quest. I think they will post a more detailed result Tuesday hopefully with bands or at least levels. My test years ago had bands. The cuti md tick panel was done at Imugen.

So I have escaped Lyme again, prolly thanks to prophylaxis. It has been a terrible summer with all of these bites. I feel ill and traumatized. Mostly from the antibiotics, diflucan, stress and my other illnesses. I just wonder if I should request the full blood tick panel I had done at citi md last Nov after the last tic bite, to make sure nothing else was transmitted. After I became ill with type 1 D, a study I was in asked me to test for epstein barr due to fatigue, it turned out I had a reactivation then. I know now that played a role in my type one.

Thanks. Where did you have pcr and what were the results? I know pcr shows if you have actual active disease usually.

I've had PCR and antibody tests while on antibiotics. It didn't seem to affect it.

id be more concerned with bartonella and toxoplasmosis... if you get symptoms down the road is all...

Thanks. I will ask about it. I went to citi md for the bite. I go there because it is fast, easy and my gp is an idiot. But I was not happy with them because the receptionist made me fill out a form for the hd. No one contacted me though Tg. I think the doc nixed it because he was not worried about rabies etc. I think the way I am feeling now is from stress, my other illnesses and eating at that restaurant, the meds and diflucan etc. I have ibs and have a few other chronic conditions which flair. I have reached a stage in my life where I just can’t stand any of this anymore and I just feel like sleeping to avoid it all.

You can’t rely on negative tests to rule out lyme unfortunately.

You should get tested with a lab that specializes in tickborne illness testing - Igenex for example

Omg can’t afford that. I will ask the doc to test other diseases. It is neg for lyme and I don’t have symptoms of it etc. This article says urine is not good for pcr lyme testing anyway.
