I don’t know a ton about essential oils yet, I’ve just gotten into it recently. As far as I know the only ones safe for internal use are Doterra and I think Young Living? The doterra bottles have the dilution amounts for each one printed on the bottles , some you can do 2-4 drops in 32 oz, some 1-2 drops, some not at all.
For me, I have a 32 oz water bottle and regardless of what the instructions say I can’t get past 1-2 drops of anything because the taste is so strong and the oils are extremely potent, I haven’t needed more to get the effect I’m going for.
The frustrating thing and the thing that held me off from trying doterra for so long was the way you have to purchase it through a salesperson, it seemed like buying Avon or other MLM thing to me and I didn’t take it seriously. You’ll find though on Facebook groups (essential oils and Lyme support group on Facebook is one) or even maybe friends you have people will just sell it to you for their wholesale price and aren’t really trying to have a business with it. I wish they would just sell it like any other supplement I think it might get taken more seriously.
Do they actually do anything to help you?
And which ones are you taking?
I'm not averse to them at all. I'm doing the Jernigan protocol at the moment, so won't be trying them any time soon, but it's something to keep in mind for possible future use.
I don't use Facebook, so I'd have to find them elsewhere I guess. I'd rather drink from the toilet than use social media again!I feel you about
social media lol
Just to be clear. I am not using EO’s to treat or kill Lyme disease. I use it merely as a support. I found the article about
using to treat lyme interesting and promising but like it said, further testing is needed.
I use lemon oil in my water just like you would fresh lemon, this is merely for convenience. 1-2 drops per 32oz. Sometimes I add grapefruit too just because I like the taste. I’m not a natural born water drinker so sometimes I have to motivate myself. I want to drink coffee all day.
I use frankincense oil mixed with castor oil on my cherry angiomas and they are starting to clear up. I’ve also gotten rid of two warts with this mix. The frank also works great on neck pain, headaches and a long list of other ailments if you google it. It’s kind of a staple.
I use a blend called DDR prime 2 drops mixed with lotion on the bottom of each foot every morning. it’s for general detoxification of environmental toxins. I do notice a difference in my mood and energy when I do this.
I also use a blend called zendocrine for liver detoxification, I mix 3-4 drops in castor oil and rub directly over my liver when I get out of the shower.
I forgot what oils these blends are comprised of I can look it up if you’re really interested, I know they can be used internally but I chose not to. I have a very sensitive digestive system so I pass on that.
I use a few drops of lavender and castor oil in my arm pits right out of the shower for lymph’s too. I’ve noticed I’m significantly less “smelly”. I was feeling like I had a strange smell happening when I started treating Bart a couple months ago and this has helped I don’t even wear deodorant anymore.
I use cassia oil one drop in water or coffee as needed for upset stomach or menstrual cramps and this stuff is amazing. This one is what really made me a believer.
I have deep blue for muscle aches but I don’t really get them much anymore. But that stuff worked really well. These are all doterra products.
I just bought a diffuser so I’ll be seeing how that goes.
I use castor oil as my carrier just because it’s what works for me, it doesn’t upset my skin. I know there are many options, lots of people like coconut oil or jojoba oil etc.
