So I’m on day 2 of low dose and I also took hydroxy-B12 as well as Zinc and the twitching and muscle fortified is back. Fog and pressure is very low which is the worst symptom so I’m very happy.
Just wondering why the muscle tightness/twitching. Zinc and B12? Pain in my chest as well. Obviously this is all some type of herx but never happened before so I wonder if the B12/Zinc did something?
Do you have Bartonella steelo?
I have these symptoms too (twitching, chest pain etc) and they have worsened since taking disulfiram.
I think there might be something in what Quin says about
disulfiram stirring up Bartonella, but not killing it and you might need to add a Bartonella med to the disulfiram to deal with what could be Bartonella symptoms.
It doesn't look like disulfiram does anything for bartonella from what I can tell, so if you are using it as a monotherapy, you could just make your bartonella symptoms worse or wake it up. That's what I think disulfiram has done to me.
Also, I read a study that said taking zinc can potentially make any copper deficiency worse and disulfiram chelates copper, so that could be part of your problem. Maybe try laying off the zinc and see if your symptoms improve?
Thanks Jova.
I’m almost certain it’s the Zinc. I guess since I don’t get much neuropathy, no point in me taking it and it negatively impacts my herx with the DSF. So many guesses haha.
It’s alright. It’s a little better this morning and it will be out of my system in a bit.
Sucks that we are trying to find things to help and sometimes they can have adverse effects and can really be uncomfortable. Last night was horrible
