I can't agree with you and I do not wish to be disrespectful. I've made my point but it's quite frankly disturbing.
I cannot agree with the notion that God wants us to be double minded, bordering schizophrenic in our approach to life, suffering and our consciences.
No problem - I don't take disagreement to automatically mean disrespect - something it seems the entire world needs to re-learn. I'm not going to "send you to hell" for disagreeing with me.
However, I think I was misunderstood, and probably because our thoughts are starting from two different premises here.
The point I wanted to make was Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." ALL THINGS, means even in evil circumstances, God is working good.

I know for a fact that Christianity is amongst one of the most abused "spiritual practices" in the history of man kind. That's why I reflect on what makes sense and do not adhere to any dogma or doctrine. Otherwise one ends up torturing ones self for no good reason. I do not call myself a christian. I believe in God. I believe in Jesus' teachings I think the new testament is corrupt as hell.
Then again, if I'm adhering to the New Testament as written, maybe it's NOT a misunderstanding, we're just on two completely different pages.
My purpose was not to confuse and drive insane, but to comfort those who are being told their wrestling with faith is a sin, their illness is a sin, or they're being punished, and show them weapons to fight these demons.

One can rationalise abuse - in this instance by the healthcare field, CDC, IDSA - as something good because God said so! Now does a God who is love and goodness do that? I don't think so!
Excusing abuse is a terrible thing. I don't want to do that. I mean to focus on God's triumph over these evils by giving a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Which is why I love the writings from the concentration camps - the authors have very strong words against the evil oppressors, but make it clear that evil "can't touch this." God is present, despite their best efforts to eradicate good.
