Cost effective - It's probably possible to buy bulk herbs for Buhner and process them yourself and have it be cheaper, but if you're not going to DIY anything, then I'd say they're about the same.
Potent - Probably BW, though everyone is different.
Herx - I definitely herxed more with BW.
Frequently used - Buhner, because of ease of accessibility and I think more people have heard of it.
Considerations - Byron White formulas are great but contain a lot of ingredients, so if you are prone to side effects or sensitivities, then it's better to do Buhner so you can start one thing at a time and eliminate anything that gives you intolerable side effects or aggravates your gut and/or liver. While I agree that herbal treatment is better for your liver and gut than pharmaceutical antibiotics are, herbs are still medicine, and they can and do tax the gut and liver depending on a person's level of sensitivity. Sounds like you know that, just making sure, since some people thing herbs are harmless.
