Why is coartem pulsed?

Isn’t Coartem made up of artemether and another med?

Artemether is another deriviative of Artemisia - like Artemisinin... Artesunate etc

Artemisinin needs to be pulsed because the intestines will develop an enzyme that renders it useless.

So maybe artemether and other derivatives need to be pulsed too for same reason.

I took Artesunate but don’t remember if I pulsed it.
