Has anyone experienced having 5 bands on the blot, going to an infectious disease dr and being told you dont have LYME, when you know you do?

I had less than 5 bands, but a positive PCR test.

Hi caramelkisses
Welcome to the forum.
I’m sorry for your bad treatment from the ID doc.
Unfortunately this happens all the time.
I’m glad you are seeking out a LLMD for treatment.

Yes!! I had a CDC positive IgM and was told by ID doc that it is a false positive because we don't have Lyme disease here (California). Go figure.

Yes the exact thing happened to me.
Five positive bands and the dr told me it was a false negative.I had also tested positive for Babesia at the same time and he treated me for that. Needless to say I found another dr!
