thanks for the heartfelt message rainycloud and for starting the new thread .
i understand your reasoning and you do not have to justify your choice. know the bees will bee there when and if you need .
handle what u feel compelled to do . ellie only stung for 3 years . my teach laid it down after 5.5 years . im on year three working and playing and i can only psych my self int treatment every other week .

have you considered rifing the mold out of you and your house ?. dr james bare hold patents on his plasma unit for just that ....keep in touch and keep us posted ...digital hugs

I'm sorry it took so long to respond.

First off, thank you so much for your message. I am so happy to have had the pleasure of hearing of your successes using BVT. On the other hand, I am sorry to hear that you will be stopping. I pray that your new treatment will further you success. At least you know that the bees work for you and you can turn back given the right circumstances. I love your attitude and kindness. You have been a blessing to me and the forum. I hope you are doing well at the moment.

I have had quite the journey since I last posted. I started experiencing arm fatigue and clumsiness. It was very scary. I went to my PCP and he ordered an MRI of my cervical spine. Once he got the results he sent me to a neurosurgeon at Duke University. I went and saw the neurosurgeon last Monday. And guess what? I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow because my spinal cord is being compressed. This has been causing my walking issues for over two years now! I am relieved and aggravated. I suspected spine problems from the get go but none of the doctors thought that was the issue. I even had a cervical MRI done while I was in the hospital January of 2018 and the doc said that I had some bone spurs, nothing to worry about. But I did have compression then. And it only got worse.

It's difficult putting everything together. I know Lyme played a part in this. I believe that the Lyme sped up the deterioration of the discs in my cervical spine causing the issues. The bees have been repairing what they can, but the venom cannot heal a ruptured disc. So, I will be having ACDF surgery tomorrow on C3-C5. Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion for CSM (Cervical spondylotic myelopathy). CSM is a known mimicker of ALS. And there have been several times I had convinced myself that I had ALS throughout this journey. CSM explains everything.

I am nervous and relieved about the surgery. The surgeon believes I will experience relief in my legs, but he is not sure to what degree because I have had this issue for quite a while now. At least it won't progress now. I plan to continue BVT after surgery and finish the 2 to 3 year protocol.

I still plan on visiting this forum to look around and say Hi. This forum has been very good to me. It's people like you, RC, that give people that extra push they need to get through the day.

I just saw this after seeing 1000Daisies had a post flagged for you. First of all, I am so sorry about what happened to you. Sounded like you took it all in stride. I was infuriated on your behalf just knowing that doctors failed you and failed to disclose everything to you years ago. I can’t even imagine suffering the symptoms you had, wondering if you had ALS and thinking Lyme was causing the degeneration. When will doctors ever be held accountable for the hell they put people through?

Now that that’s off my chest, how did the surgery go? How has recovery been so far? Praying all is well and you will continue to heal more day by day. You are a very special member of this forum, and I do hope that you will, indeed, not be a stranger.

This has been quite the ride. But God has a plan. Surgery went well and recovery is going well. I'll see how much of my motor function I get back by 3 to 6 six months. Hopefully a lot or all. But at least it wasn't als...

That’s good to hear! I have been having some long due improvements after starting Rx antifungals - first Fluconazole, then Nystatin. Nystatin is definitely having a positive effect. Brings me back to focusing on what I should have spent more effort on long ago - my gut. I didn’t realize the range of symptoms Candida/yeast/fungus in the gut could cause body-wide.

I'm so happy to hear you are experiencing improvements. All these treatments can really throw the body out of balance. I too wish I would have focused more on my gut earlier. I had started drinking and eating heavily probiotic foods everyday a few months ago and started feeling so much better.

I pray this takes you through to the finish line. You'll be in my prayers tonight.

here we get our bees from cali and other arid places so not much fungus ... when my teacher was using some bees that had varroa mites i asked if we could catch that virus . she assured me the venom sac is sterile and separate from its circulation system. it is connected to digestive. and when i put that under microscope it was cery enzymatic... so idk but i dont thinks so

you may wanna give yourself a little honeymooning (pun intended)phase where you reintroduce the venom slowly and titrate back up to your dose.

With the summer approaching the bee venom is getting spicier by the day as bluelyme would put it ;)
