People have been ingesting loads of Vitamin C for years.
Linus Pauling recommended 5-6 grams per day.

I find it suspicious that the so called Linus Pauling institute is recommending RIDICULOUSLY lower amounts, if Pauling died taking much more.
Buhner recommends C-salts, easier on the stomach.
I think this is the only product that's got a mixture of different buffered types of vitamin C.

I could never take vitamin C for more than a couple of days due to stomach aches.
Even minimal amounts.
I always had a super tender stomach.
That's why, in the last years, I decided to produce my own liposomal vitamin C.
It's covered with layers of phospholipids, and I feel NO PAIN, no diarrhea, nothing, even taking high doses (such as 10 grams of vit C in one go).
I know one guy 4th stage cancer surviving years with 100 grams per day (also liposomal).
If you'd like to read about lipo C, here is part of an interview with Dr Levy.
