Sam,
There is hope. Keep fighting the good fight, you will find something that works. This is a rough ride but you can beat this. One hundred percent you will get better.
I tried self treating bartonella, after discovering I had it. Only because I tried disulfiram, and others had been reporting it causes a flare of bartonella. Anyhow, I've been doing this with next to no money until recently and now I have the means to self treat. I personally, don't see the point in seeing an LLMD in my instance, I'm going the herbal route and tests can be done with online companies in my own experience. Not that I condone it.
Have you considered trying more herbs? Cryptolepis being one such herb for babesia. Just one I thought I'd put out there. If you're able to read and you're willing to put in a bit of time, you can read Buhner's books on Lyme and Coinfections. I can email you the PDFs if you want just let me know and I'll send you them.
I had been in dire straits up until the start of this month. I had next to no money, I had tried minocycline and rifampin for lyme and bartonella and only made things worse and ended up in hospital. I took an OD and a few other things that landed me in hospital at the start of the year as well.
However, since trying the herbs, I have not had so much hope in a long time. What put me off initially was the expense, but that's no longer an issue and good health, is priceless. So it's what I plan to do.
On this journey I have taken notes of what causes what. I have notes here of how each herb is working and I'm optimistic that in 6 months time I will be living a totally different life than I am now.
I have all the same bartonella symptoms - insane anxiety, tinnitus, depression, seizures to name a few as well. However, the herbs are definitely helping me some and I'm only taking 2 of the big players so far. I'm certain I'll reach remission with them too.
There are plenty of people here who will help you through this too. It's great to talk to others about their own experiences with this too and you'll have plenty of support here.
All the best. You'll get through this
Thanks for the encouraging words Cignet.
I really hope I do, it just seems like all hopes gone out the window at the moment. The whole situation has left me feeling really depressed.
I’m glad you’ve found something that helps. I totally understand, you only really need an LLMD if your going the pharmaceutical route. I find my case really weird because I’m at full dose on antibiotics such as Rifampin, Doxy plus herbs etc.. and I don’t herx. I don’t herx, I don’t feel better, just stay the same.
The herbs I’m taking at the moment are Cats Claw, Houttutnia, Sida Acuta, Resveratrol and Artesunate. I’m stopping all antibiotics today, carrying on with herbs and starting a mold detox protocol. I know of Cryptolepis and was considering adding, I’ve heard mixed with Sida acuta can help with Babesia. Thank you, very kind of you to offer but I’ve already got the Healing Lyme book by Stephen Buhner. Its a good book and offers a range of herbs for different symptoms.
I’m really sorry to hear that Cignet. If you ever want to talk about
Lyme or anything else for that matter just drop me a message. I’ve been in a real dark place these past few months, I have a history of anxiety & depression anyway, so know only too well how things can get.
I found herbs to be really expensive when I first started out but that’s because I was getting them from my LLMD. I now look on the internet and get them from Amazon or herbalists.
Can I ask what herbs your taking? Stay positive and hopefully this time next year you be talking about
how you recovered!
Tell me about
it, I’ve got muscle twitching, eye floaters, tinnitus..... I could actually live with these symptoms and they wouldn’t really bother me if I could just get rid of this crippling anxiety and dizziness. The only thing that’s I’ve noticed a difference from is b12 injections and there the cheapest thing to buy!
Thanks again Cignet and all the best!
