Hi, flowergarden. Sorry to hear that you are still dealing with this!
When I experience clenching around my lower rib area and upper abdominal area, the muscles of the inner and outer abdomen can feel very taut and hard. The intestines and other organs underneath become inflamed from the muscles clenching. You and I have corresponded about how last fall I was quite disabled by this phenomenon, and recently it came back again. I was able to make it go away again (within a few days this time!) using breath work, posture changes, stretching, and restricted eating (to avoid stressing the organs being squeezed). I would love to recommend a type of health care practitioner who would understand this, but even my brilliant and well-meaning team of folks has not encountered this before. Even people familiar with it in the MS world believe there is no way to mitigate it except for muscle relaxers and pain meds, at least according to what I have found online. You may feel strongly that this is different from what is going on for you, but I found it very freeing to know that it's a structural process exacerbated by over-active nerves and a body predisposed to inflammation. CBD was helpful as well.
Whatever is going on for you, I hope that you find relief soon. Does it come and go at all? Any patterns? Worse after eating, worse after bending over, etc.?
