Hi all,
Over the last 2 years, I started losing a chunk of hair on my head.
The strange is that it's only on one side. At least, that's how it's been for 2 years, recently it started progressing to the other side.
I'm worried about
going to a dermatologist because I'm afraid that they will just write it off as aging. Especially since it's on the front area of the top of my head, in the corner. The same type of hair loss that men get with aging.
However, literally nobody in my family has any hair loss, so I don't think that's what it is.
I also lost all of my hair on my right calf. This has not happened to my left calf.
I'm asking you for any ideas on what I can do.
I don't have a lot of self esteem to begin with, and the chunk of hair missing on my head is making me very depressed. I'm terrified it will not grow back because it's been two years already.
I really hope some of you might be able to help.
I also found this but I'm not sure what to think of it, and it also doesn't offer any solutions:
