Stephen Buhner is dying

I reached a breaking point this week and wrote to Stephen Buhner. Oddly, his email wasn't hard to find. He responded quickly but with a somber message- he's unable to help because his health is deteriorating due to a lung condition. Here is a short excerpt from his email:

"I wish I could help you but I am afraid that I am myself, very ill, with a lung condition that is going to kill me within the next few years. (about 7 years earlier than I expected I would die)

I have exhausted my abilities to help myself and have myself been unable to find someone talented enough to help me; I am running into the same things you have been.

To be sure, in my condition, my ability to see, understand, and perceive interventions
in the way I used to be able to, is very limited"


I am so down about it, and feel a bit selfish. I reached out asking him for help yet he himself is dealing with a terminal condition. Plus, in all his health/wellness wisdom, can not find a practitioner or find a way to help himself. I feel our world will soon be losing a vital member.

Has he? I dont have facebook so I dont follow him. You would think he would be able to find sufficient help or even- with his knowledge- know herbal interventions. Horrible

This is truly sad news. He has helped so many. His insights and knowledge was so valuable in my Lyme journey. To this day I trust and consult his books. For sure, I will be meditating and passing energy his way.

I hope he continues to try something to help his copd.

I have an elderly friend who has had asthma since her 40’s (or longer) and has also been dealing with copd for the past several years - along with kidney disease.
She has managed it and is now 92 years old - there may be hope for Buhner.

This is really terrible. I need to write him just to express my appreciation. He's changed so much about the way I view health and healthcare...

"COPD is very common and is not a terminal Illness per say..."

He has talked in the past about having COPD, but we don't really know what his illness is in this case. In Aerose's OP he calls it a "lung condition". Probably best not to speculate any further.

Great point. Poor form on my part to speculate. Half of my clients have COPD so it sounded like a very familiar situation.

I do hope if he has an illness that can be helped my a MD he seeks treatment and does not let distrust stop him from seeking care.

I told him that if we cant give up and stop searching, the neither can he

I’m glad you emailed him and got a personal response. That is heartbreaking news. I will keep him in my prayers. He and his books have impacted my life in ways I never imagined. He gave me the courage, the information, and the motivation to help myself when doctors did nothing for me.

I love you, Stephen Buhner. You are a wise, kind, and gracious man who has sees clearly and speaks truth unashamedly.

How are you feeling lately?

I emailed him to say thank you and that I Hope after all the people he has helped that karma does it’s part and something can be done for him.

He replied and said thank you. What a kind and beautiful soul.

It’s ever so nice, what a good human being. Sad to know he’s suffering the way he is.

Hi all, asking for some help. I need to find a physician, an MD, who can help in the treatment of my lung condition, someone open to nontraditional as well as conventional therapies. I need someone who can prescribe specific medications as well as order periodic CT scans. As well, i would need them to be available to work via telemedicine. the medical people in silver city where i live are very poor at what they do. If you are an MD and are open to helping or if you know someone you have worked with that is good please let me know. I know many of you in the lyme community have gone through this yourself and perhaps you have some suggestions. thanks for your help, stephen
