Hi. Anyone else get this.. This is a new symptom... my back tingles on both sides ... several times throughout the day/night... it's not asleep but more like waves of this tingling sensation...

It's started while on Abart, stopped that weeks ago but it is still there.

Does it feel painful, prickly, cold, or otherwise bad? Does it go up to your scalp?

I have waves of tingles that are odd but not unpleasant, usually going up one side of my body at a time, just briefly and occasionally. In my mind, it's just another fun effect of nervous system dysfunction.

I get lots of tingling sensations when I have body work done, so I know how much tension, posture, structural issues, and blockages can cause sensations all over.

I get tingling too but mine is on the top of my head. Very annoying and uncomfortable but not painful.

It’s just another symptom unless you have a spine issue.

You can get an mri of your back to see if there is anything going on.

Does it feel like a whole bunch of little nematodes crawling under your skin?

Funny, I had the exact same thing about 6 months ago. Mine was mid back and a little to each side of the back. Kind of decided I might be getting Shingles. Lasted a month or so and have not had it since. Weird stuff these buggers do.

Doesn't feel like things crawling..
just a tingly feeling. Hard to describe comes and goes throughout day. More so lately...

I do have something going on with spine but I think the tingly is not directly related ... I m not sure .
But I have chronic head i/ spine issues... whereas it feels like my head isn't screwed on right. Most literally if you take a lid or a niut or something and screw it on at wrong angle ... I get headaches and pain / discomfort in my skull as well as throughout my spine. Pinching sore etc all along in different areas Including tail bone. I think the issue gives me proprioception issues.

I usually see a chiro and that helps for awhile.

I'm in a new location at moment so I Tried out two chiros here. A neurological/ kinesiology one and a regular one. Neuro one didn't seem to get me on track and neither did new one. Appointment to see the second one again tommarow.... might cancel and wait for her older more expierienfed partner to see me although I will try just about anything to get relief... hard to go back to somewhere that didn't help but ...

I feel like it's atlas axis or something jammed up in my skull. Might cut paste this in new thread.

I go to an upper cervical chiropractor.
No pulling, twisting or forceful adjustments.
He adjusts the Atlas (C1)

The idea is that if the atlas is out - then the entire spine can be out because the body is trying to right the axis.

I think you can find one on the NUCCA website.

Have you tried craniosacral therapy? It's an hour of gentle adjustment, all along the spine and skull. It can accomplish some things that chiro can't. Might be worth a try?

Also, have you looked into craniocervical instability? It is not found in imaging unless the imaging is done with you sitting up (so the MRI or whatever must be done with you in an upright position). Jennifer brea, who made the great CFS/ME documentary Unrest, was found to have craniocervical instability and a surgical procedure resolved her years of severe disability from CFS/ME. Worth looking into.
