Wife and I looking to get pregnant in the future...advice?

I am still treating with herbs and vitamins mostly and I'd say I'm about 85-90% back to where I was. (Bit in July 2018 and started treating in October 2018). My wife and I are hoping in a year or so to try for a kid, but I still have a lot of research to do. I want to make sure I don't pass anything to my wife and any future child. Is there something that can be done to test the semon to see if there is lyme in it etc? I think last resort would be to have my wife on antibiotics while she's pregnant.

Anyway, just looking for advice as this is the start of my "research".

Yes, seems like most of the literature on the subject say it's definitely possible but more tests need to be done to confirm etc. After searching previous messages on this forum it seems like most of the situations are ladies that have or have had lyme and are looking to get pregnant. I wasn't really able to find anything on my situation which is myself having lyme but my wife not having lyme. If they can test for lyme in semon, couldn't they test my semon and if it shows no lyme we could "insert" the tested semon into my wife?

Ultimately only you can decide if the risk is worth it to you to have your own genetic offspring. With so many options for expanding your family, there's no need to take the risk if you or your partner is uncomfortable with it.

For what it’s worth (this is just my experience, not a study) my mom has lyme and bartonella and has been sick her whole entire life since about age 8. they never knew what was wrong with her. she just “always had something wrong”. she’s had good and bad spells and i’ll never forget growing up with her in the hot summer months she would pretty much be stuck on the couch and i’d have to get stuff for my younger siblings when i was just 7 years old etc.

I say all that to say, my mom birthed 3 kiddos and we were all resiliently healthy. until I turned 17 and my body just literally started freaking out. idk if it was hormones or what but I “came down with” lyme over the next two years so severely I almost died (88 lbs, blood coming out both ends, severe neurological issues + pain etc etc etc)

my sister has always been ridiculously resilient physically regardless of how she mistreated her body with alcohol drugs and diet. I don’t know if she has it or not.

my brother, the youngest, began developing symptoms at age 17 - same age I did - he got POTS and would pass out upon standing only if he’d been sitting a long time; and also became sensitive to gluten. He passed away in an accident august 2017.

when I was diagnosed with lyme some lightbulbs came on for my mom and eventually she got tested and she has it too. so we’re assuming I got it from my mom and maybe her mom as well. my gma had “meningitis” as a young person and has had similar health issues her whole life but milder.

i’ll let you all know as time goes along if my baby has lyme. I am due in a couple months.

I have asked my LLMD and she said she would have her get on correct vitamin protocol 6-12 months ahead of time to make sure she has proper nutrients etc., but that would be for anyone, not just cause of my lyme. My wife has never shown any symptoms and is young and healthy so I guess it's definitely tricky one. I'd be willing to bet if you ask 10 different LLMD's you would get 10 different protocols/answers. Anyway, figured it was worth a try to see if someone had a kid that was similar to my specific situation. Was worth a shot.
