bone pain

It is so good to know bone pain is a "normal" thing with Lyme disease. I have let my Lyme doc, a very well respected man who speaks around the country, that this is a major issue with me. It really has been bad over the past couple of weeks. I find it hard to sleep as my shoulders hurt when lying on my side. I feel like they are being crushed. My elbows have been hurting so much as well as my arm bones. I also have Lupus and Fibromyalgia so that does not help at all. This heat of the summer has been a killer for me. I am lactose intolerant, gluten free but have been taken off all grains, and also soy free. That means I have to make all of my condiments as soy lecithin is found in so many products.

I have been living with Lyme for 15 years, dx'd in 2011. I have had my wonderul Lyme doc since 1/2011. i have done some detox with him with glutathiamin(Sp?)infusion. I do drink lemon water regularly. I eat very healthy and what I call "clean foods".Very basic and I add my spices. I buy foods on the perimeter of the stores. I used to teach health and foods and nutrition and grew up with a Mom who was a nutritionist so was ahead of the game as far as eating correctly even before I got sick. I am also low sodium so make my own seasonings as well. It is fun to be creative. I started cooking with my Mom when I was a little girl.

Using ice is not for me as it is bad for my Fibromyalgia. It stiffens me up and makes my nerve pain that much worse. I have a lot of problems wih nerve pain and spinal issues. I do not know where I would be without weekly PT and biweekly chiropractic visits. My sacral-iliac dysfuntion causes the joint to pop out and causes a lot of pain and walking problems. I have DDD that sends nerve pain down my legs and causes muscular issues in my legs. One ones in my cervical area causes issues in my neck and shoulder area and down my arms. I walk with a cane when out of the house.

I do sleep with pillows and never know from one night to another how I will feel comfortable. it depends on what I have done during the day. Today I am makin a zuchini soup that involves some cutting up of veggies so that will bother my hands, wrists, and arms but it sounds so good. i am laying here enjoying the Olympics. I truly love them!

I cannot find the article "New to Lyme...". It is not that I am new. LOL I have been fortunate to get to several conferences as there is an active Lyme network near me and one that is involved in NYS politics. I am fortinate to live here as our state has made strides in protecting dcotors who treat us and also for us patients.

I looked at the detox article and I have been taking curcumin for awhile from my Lyme doc. at this point in time, I cannot afford to take anything else as I am at my budget limit. i live on disability. I am also trying to ready my house to sell it. It is all so overwhelming. He did me a magnesium supplement as a courtesy and has done that before. I spent over $200 on one's months worth of supplements and that was not even half of them. The probiotics are so expensive. I am on 2 of them.

It has been awhile but I have been tested for co-infections. I even have had my blood sent to Germany to a clinic there to have it broken down to see where my body is affected the most. My doctor traveled there 2 years ago to see what they are doing and has an arrangement with them. I came up rated high for nerves and muscles. I have been tested by Igenex in 2011 and 2013. the first time I had 5 + strands and the second time 9 + strands. Pretty crazy!

I am selling to get out of a split level and will be building a midular ranch home. I still will have my own home. I always was fiancially wise about things so all should work out OK for me.However, I will be moving about 3 hours north of where I live now to be near my 2 oldest daughters. I now live about 25 minutes from my youngest daughter and her new husband. They are professionals and work and taking care of their new home take up so much of their time. I will have more help up north. I then can have a garden with my oldest daughtr as she misses having one. i have been doing container veggie plantig but nor much this year due to the heat. I am still going to be traceling back here to see my Lyme doc and will stay with my daughter here so will see her and her hubby . I am not sure when they will start a family as they have everything on a timeline and absolutely hate when peole ask them. They are in their late 20's. They are newlyweds.

I plan to make my home disabled friendly so no one can tell me that I must move out like my Mom was told when she got worse and was made to go into assisted living. That was so tough on her. I am a very independent minded person and do not want anyone telling me what to eat, especially with my restricted diet, and when to take my meds and supplements. I want to sleep when I want to and do what I want when I want! I also always want my rescue dogs in my life. They are my salvation. I rescue seniors who do not need walks but love a fenced in yard to get their exercise. They range is age from 10 1/2 to 16 1/2. i have a peekapoo, Lhapso Apso, and Lab mix. They are my furbabies! My daughters are looking for a new plae and want to buy a house so they can have a dog again. My oldest lost her dog to Cushings disease 2 years ago. Pup was 10+ yeaars and had had her from a 6 week old puppy. It was a devastating loss. She cannot have a dog where they live now. Both girls work at an evironmental center as researchers in the agricultural field. I will finally get to be the country girl i always have wanted to be. It is where I went to college. I grew up on Long Island and hated it. I have lived upstate and once lived in a log home on 4 acres of land and that was wonderful but things changed. This will be a good move but getting there will be taxing. I am a survivor so I will get through it. I am 60 and lived through a lot of turmoil in my life so this is just another hurdle to face. As my Mom used to say, "and this to shall pass." :)

To much calcium is not good ether, it can offset magnesium among other things. The general clinical blood test panel has calcium levels in it. You've prob had this.

WbF sorry to hear of your long history of bone and joint pain as well as stiff muscles.
For the latter I'd personally try lots of muscle stretching, massages, acupuncture, etc...

It's probably not an easy fix but what helped with my arthritis is one season of BVT. The damage to the cartilage is permanent but the pain has become barely noticeable. Nowhere near the bone pain level.

Hope you can get rid of the aforementioned symptoms soon! The worst of the bunch IMHO is the bone pain. I only put like 2 or 3 stings on the spot where I felt some insane amount of bone pain the last couple of days and today no bone pain. Not sure if that's due to the melittin or simply pure luck. I bet the bone pain will be back soon to haunt me again so I better get ready to administer some more venom. Surrounding the dragon as bluelyme would put it
