I'm going there in person... driving back and forth, will sleep in my car.
Taking a chance with the Covid, I want to see Dr. Jemsek this time :/

I would think they’d be very careful there - lots of disinfecting etc

Alxander, what dose are you taking, if you don't mind me asking. The rifampin that is? With this corona stuff, there's a shortage of it, at least ordering it from India, due to the fact that they need the drug for TB.

Girlie, thanks for the email. How long did it take for you to see any improvements? I'm planning on doing this as a last ditch thing. Curently in the process of getting ready for some ceftriaxone. Honestly don't know what to do but this sounds like a good option. Worst of all, the UK just lacks the expertise of the US. There's a LLMD in Ireland but I'm on a waiting list for several months time... Need some relief ASAP.

I think it was several months (on bart treatment) before I saw improvements. I don’t think I had many, if any when I was on lyme only abx for something like 6 months. (Previous LLND) Had a couple months break due to lab results - trying to remember what it was. (Long time ago - 2015)
Then I went on Bart treatment with Rifabutin/mino and it was a few months before I saw results... reduction in symptoms.

I’ve heard about the LLMD in Ireland.
I wonder when Dr J was in the UK if they met.

Re: yes lots of drugs can cause SJS - but I think bactrim has higher incidence.
I read a list and even doxy was in it.

We all know that all medications (not just abx) come with side effects/risks and potential for allergic reactions - and we have to decide if we are willing to take those risks.

What about the rocephine? Steven Johnsons syndrome is one of its possible side effects. I took it for nearly a month and it caused a patch of dry skin on my leg that won't go away. Doesn't look like a fungus. Could this be a mild case of SJS ?

I don’t know. It’s probably not - has your Dr seen it?
If that’s all you have - one dry patch of skin... not likely.
Maybe ask your dr or pharmacist if an anti fungal might work ?
