Red bruises on child

Hello.Does anyone know if dark red bruise appearing on the skin a sign of Lyme /co’s?My 7 year old just has a good size bruise show up on his arm yesterday.He haven’t fell or anything and it’s not sore on tender to touch.Today I see a smaller one has appeared on the other arm.I know I have had those appear for no reason on my leg and thighs but darker like bleeding under the skin or something before and after symptoms and knowing I had Lyme.I will call his pediatrician tomorrow and make an appointment.Thanks

I’ve read that Babesia can cause bruising - it resides in the RBC’s and dieoff can result in bruises.

How large is the bruise and is it perfectly round?

The biggest one is about the size of a quarter but not really round like a quarter and the other are very small but shaped more like a line.
