Are you in remission? What abx and how long?
You could call it that. Last time I used abx was late 2016. LLMD had me on five different common ones, nothing fancy or unusual or new at the time, but used three at a time between changes aka "the shotgun approach"..
Besides doxy and its summer sun equivalent biaxin(?), ceftin, and flagil, I dont remember the other one or two off the top of my head. 14 months not counting breaks in between. Used diflicon for yeast.
Use whatever works for you, I do not suggest my ABX approach, as it kills everything, but the options were to confusing at the time. I do suggest total body support and health, as killing the critters is not enough. This is about
gut support before abx and repair after.
I had symptoms for decades, am not 100% and probably never will be,.... 90% is livable, 80% on bad days. When/if this creates autoimmune issues and lyme arthritis (did to me) which is nerve damage and tissue calcification, this takes time and no abx will repair, just stop further damage.
So I function with some handicaps now and then that I just manage/deal with. Some things are possibly permanently changed. But this also happens as we age. Thats why all body health is important, which mean lifestlye and diet improvements which is what my post was about
..
I went snow-fat-biking yesterday and will go again later today after I go to the gym. There is almost no coasting in snow riding, your legs are 90% of the time under way more load that summer riding, so it can be double or tipple the equivalent mileage, and sometimes you push. Even only one mile would have been nearly impossible 5-10 years ago for me, with massive pain for two weeks after. One summer I could not ride at all (100 ft) without lasting pain, let alone the energy required that was not there.
Around new year there are usually "healed/remission" posts. But ....this forum is a good 50% less active than it used to be. I think the facebook layout sucks for forums, post are lost, people dont relpy ect....but some prefer it for some odd reason.
