Herbs are a good form of self treatment. There are various options, but Buhner’s protocol is probably the most widely used.
Japanese knotweed is very affordable if you use the powder form. You can get 1lb bags from 1st Chinese herbs.
Houttuynia is the other primary herb used for bartonella. Some people buy the cut form in bags and make tea, I believe. I use the tincture form from Woodland Essence.
Sida acuta is the other most recommended herb by Buhner for bartonella. I also get that in tincture from WE.
A lot of people can’t tolerate full doses of the herbs. If you’re one of those people, then tinctures can be pretty affordable, too, if you only tolerate small doses.
That’s not the full protocol, just barebones. I would also highly recommend Chinese skullcap for cytokine management. If you get psych symptoms with bart, then I would use kudzu root, as well.
