Lyme: Symptom of heat carried in back of neck?

Hello all. I am new to Lyme, and three months back became very ill after camping within two weeks, starting with neck pain. It progressed to headaches, fatigue, fever (mostly neck), etc., progressed to neuro symptoms, dizzy lightheaded tinnitus, brain fog. Later, intermittent chest pains , faint and sob, cough . I had every test under the sun, suspected Lyme. First test negative, second showed Lyme. Not sure what other co infections I may have. Started on doxy and had a huge relief along with buhner protocol minus andrographis (severe ended up in ER, allergy vs herx) Now starting ceftin, zith, and flagyl along with buhner herbs.
My neck started feeling hot to the touch from the beginning of neck pain months ago. I assume it’s just inflammation from infection. When I started the doxy it went away for about a week. Now starting another treatment, it’s constantly hot. Has anyone experienced heat in their neck? Not sure what infection may cause this. Possibly Bart? Or maybe TBRF? Because of the fever in my neck?
Not sure if I’m relapsing or just herxing and my symptoms are surfacing? Does herxing exacerbate your symptoms?
I have been detoxing with binder, gluthione, selenium, chlorophyll, spirulina, lemon water, alk gold.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Thank you for your reply and feedback walkingbyfaith, much appreciated. That gives me so relief knowing you had similar symptoms. Did your specific symptoms exacerbate when herxing or would that be a setback? It may be hard to say.

Lyme causes neck tension. There is a fancy word for that which I cant think of at the moment. Ive never heard of it described as heat, but inflammation can feel warm.
