Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT):

"Up to 8% of patients receiving heparin are at risk to develop HIT antibodies, but only 1–5% on heparin will progress to develop HIT with thrombocytopenia and subsequently one-third of them may suffer from arterial and/or venous thrombosis."

Notice how high the rate is there. Any Lyme patient who has been on iv abx has probably taken heparin. You might as well start an anti-heparin campaign with a whole new thread.

These Astra pauses/suspensions (along with the other regulatory hang ups) may have more to do with profits for the competing vax makers than they do about safety. The Astra vax is the only one that is to be distributed on a "not for profit" basis.

Or maybe it's a form of social engineering with the intent of ensuring confidence.. though that would seem to be backfiring..

Good decision, but late "as usual", "business as usual". First let some be killed with the "safe and effective (tm), then lift suspension, more get killed, ok lets suspend for people under 60 years old. Older people get killed with the "safe and effective (tm)" vaccine, then mmmm, perhaps, suspend for people under 75 years old. They die too, suspend again. Wait, there is still a new trial for children and babies approved, ok, children die too, suspend. Now what?

Lesson: People dont understand that if a drug causes deaths its not safe for anyone too use it. If any treatment that saves lives and has success, this must be cancelled immediately (Ivermectin). But if vaccines are not working (Chile and many more countries to come) and causing deaths, we must use them anyway!??

It's about balancing risks. If there was a vaccine that was nearly certain to cure my Lyme Disease, it's possible I would consider it (not sure I'd ever want to risk the mRNA though). But an unknown and known risk vaccine for Covid w/ it's low death rate and w/ effective, safe treatments? No.

If they are playing games with the Astra vax, it seems it is only exposing vaccine risk (however low or high one thinks that might be).

Heparin is just a blood thinner used to prevent clots in picc line.. not meant to help with Lyme per se and I'm sure there are alternatives.

I admit the analogy is not perfect as the threshold for vaccine safety should be higher than for most other drugs.. but it could serve as a reference point for when it's appropriate to suspend.

Obviously not trying to influence your own assessment above there CWL, even though I disagree with its bases.

Yes, was referring to your Heparin analogy with my risk balance comments. If I thought I had a condition that was more dangerous than taking Heparin, and Heparin was the best option known to treat that condition, I would probably take Heparin.

I think you're still missing the point, CWL. I'm not trying to influence your assessment.

I'm trying to figure out when a drug/vaccine would typically be suspended due to safety concerns.

..and I guess also why you're not making a bunch of posts concerning heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. I actually hadn't heard of it til today despite having used heparin extensively in the past.

Good info about heparin, i didn't knew it could cause blood clots. I have never used it anyway. But now that i know it, i will not use it, since as you say "there are alternatives".

But i don't see how this could be an excuse to take experimental vaccines that are causing blood clots. Taking a risk because there are similar risks with another drug or vaccine, makes no sense to me.

If i know a risk, i will try to minimize the risks by avoiding the drug that rises the risks altogether and find alternatives. It is like asking someone, look, what is the problem in smoking? The risk of lung cancer also happens in secondhand smoke, so just go ahead and smoke.. I would be preferable to say, look avoid smoking and avoid anyone who smokes near you -> This is the correct approach. A loose - loose approach is not the way.

It's not (even though the risk looks to be somewhere around 10,000 times greater with heparin). This is getting circular again but:

I had two relatives take the Pfizer vax and one of them was sick for several months and the other had bells palsey and tremors.

The vaccines ARE THE COVER-UP. They are immune-supressing long-term, hence no long term studies due to the emergency roll-out. They have a toxic PEG liporotein in them which works on the spike protein and induces immune tolerization and anergy. JUST READ PUBMED and their mechanism of action. This is EXACTLY what they were trying to do with lymerix, had their scam gone unoticed. They used Pam3cys to induce anergy and immune toleration and falsified the diagnostics so that only 15% of hyperactive antibodycount patients would test positive, the other 85%, the sickest, WOULD NOT TEST POSITIVE, hence an 85% effective fake vaccine.

They are doing basically the same thing with these covid vaccines. Create a demand, and when the vaccines go out, lower PCR cycles and what do you know, less people testing positive, even if they have covid.

No vaccine will ever cure Lyme borreliosis due to antegenic variation. Not now, not ever. The whole point of the lyme vaccines is profit driven.

1. I don't know, and it may be hard to know because of various influences on those decisions.

2. We're discussing Covid-19 and vaccine safety. Presenting information so people can make an informed decision and balance their risks.

How many people are getting the blood clots after the Covid vaccine is unknown, and it's just one of many concerns.

CWL: about 1/100 "suffer from arterial and/or venous thrombosis" as a side effect of heparin.

Maybe I'm thinking about this incorrectly but I'd say that delegitimizes the suspensions a bit as well as and the level of concern in this thread.

It guess you could join the experts panels all over the world, who legitimize the suspensions. Perhaps they need you, because of their lack of knowledge, they really need expertise advise to lift the suspensions immediately. Your advice can help them perhaps?

If I was a journalist I'd surely ask about the comparison to heparin. I know there needs to be more investigation, but I'm leaning towards thinking that the suspensions are unnecessary.. and that they may have more to do with profits for other vax makers, or misguided social engineering.

What about you isitlyme.. would you like to see an end to the use of heparin?

Well there you go.. I'm surprised you would suddenly criticize me for questioning a few "expert panels".

We can see different approaches being taken around the world. This theoretical complication would be an extremely rare one and entirely treatable.. so I'm thinking informed consent should be sufficient, particularly during pandemic.

They have their own homegrown vaccine. So yes it does appear they are smarter then a lot of countries. Ironically some countries are rejecting India's vaccine but accepting the Pfizer vaccine. India seems fine with their own though. Sounds political to me like so much of this.

India is also using Astrazeneca's.

The mRNAs are much more expensive and require the deep freeze temps.

In my area, COVID started decreasing before the start of vaccines here. The numbers decreased for a few months as vaccines were slowly rolled out (and yet people still wanted to claim credit for the vaccines, which was not logical at all given the timeframe). Now, as more and more people are getting vaccinated, the COVID numbers have been steadily increasing. They are still lower compared to the fall peak though.


..can't comment on your area but if you look at the entire US, somewhere around 15% of the population has been fully vaccinated. That may be enough to put a dent in the next wave but not enough to completely reverse a trend.

However, a much higher percentage of nursing home residents and health care workers have been fully vaccinated. Infections are steeply declining in those segments of the population.

Case counts are being driven by people who have not been vaccinated. Essentially everyone under 50.
