"Prospective cohorts of 3,950 health care personnel, first responders, and other essential and frontline workers completed weekly SARS-CoV-2 testing for 13 consecutive weeks. Under real-world conditions, mRNA vaccine effectiveness of full immunization (≥14 days after second dose) was 90% against SARS-CoV-2 infections regardless of symptom status; vaccine effectiveness of partial immunization (≥14 days after first dose but before second dose) was 80%.
Postpans, this is what i call really unworthy and another joke like the pfizer trials. Did you even read the whole article from CDC?? I think you have not learned yet from the Pfizer mRNA trials. Let me help you:
Lets see:
"Among 3,950 participants with no previous laboratory documentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection, 2,479 (62.8%) received both recommended mRNA doses and 477 (12.1%) received only one dose of mRNA vaccine.† "
Now do the maths again. 3,950 participants were 2,479 received the vaccine, so how many are left? 3,950 - 2,479 = 994 participants didnt receive the vaccine.
Lets see:
"Among unvaccinated participants, 1.38 SARS-CoV-2 infections were confirmed". How many were unvaccinated? Remember? Yes. 994. How much were 1.38 % of 994 unvaccinated?
"During the 116,657 person-days when participants were unvaccinated,
161 PCR-confirmed infections were identified (incidence rate = 1.38/1,000 person-days)."
Now cant you see that this is more of the same like the Pfizer trial joke? I will try to explain it, please, just check the table 2 on this CDC interim:
Unvaccinated = 161 infections
Partially immunized = 8 + 5 + 3 = 16 infections
Fully immunized = 3 infections
Total 180 infections. So were comes the 90% efficacy? It comes from the number 161 - the unvaccinated. Because 90% of 180 total infections equals = 161/162. Didnt you learned that from the Pfizer trial?? I tried to explain, but as is seems you didnt get it. So i will explain it again.
We are talking about
3,950 participants, 2,479 were vaccinated and 994 were not. CDC is, like the Pfizer trial, only counting with the participants that were infected, be it vaccinated or unvaccinated. The rest, lets throw them in the garbage because they dont count. What??? Again. Come on.
What about
the rest of the vaccinated = 2,749 minus (Partially immunized 16 + Fully immunized + 3) = 2,730 vaccinated!!!!!!!! Are they thrown in the garbage???
What about
the 994 unvaccinated - (only 161 of them were infected), totaling 833 on unvaccinated that were not infected, don't they count? They thrown 833 to the garbage too. If 833 were not infected, this should count too, potsnpans, havent we learned this already from the pfizer joke trials?
So, in conclusion, its more of the same Pfizer trial joke. They have thousand of participants and only count a couple of ants to reach the 90% efficacy. Please potsnpans, posting more examples of this type of estimates and trials gives us nothing about
real efficacy. Lets be honest and count with all the participants, not only with the ones that are convenient to CDC and Pfizer. A complete and ultimate joke of the century. Just go check the pfizer analisys i have done, the same problem happens here.
