Hello,
I know this request has probably been asked loads of times, but was just wondering if anybody could help me with the following test results Armin labs
B.burg.+afz.+gar.IgG positive negative
! 1,289 Ratio
Ratio 0,01 - 0,89 = negative
Ratio 0,90 - 0,99 = weak
Ratio >= 1,00 = positiv

B.burg.+afz.+gar+round bod.IgG positive negative
! 1,083 Ratio
Ratio 0,01 - 0,89 = negative
Ratio 0,90 - 0,99 = weak
Ratio >= 1,00 = positive


Rickettsia akari IgG positive negative
! 1,106 Ratio
Ratio 0,01 - 0,89 = negative
Ratio 0,90 - 0,99 = weak
Ratio >= 1,00 = positive

Hi Lamps, welcome to the forum.

If I'm reading the results correctly....you are positive for all three.

I'm assuming you have unexplained symptoms that led to you being tested for Lyme disease.
Do you have a Doctor who will be able to look at these results and set up a treatment plan?

Yes I have doctor but not seeing him for two weeks.

Yes, looks like positive results for Lyme and Rickettsia. (a co infection of lyme)


I'm not too familiar with the Armin Labs testing....but it looks to me like you were positive for "round body" lyme - which would be cysts form of Lyme.

Have you had symptoms for a long time? Do you know when you were bitten by the tick?

Is this a 'regular' Doctor - or a Lyme doctor who will be treating you? and is it a Naturopath...or an MD (Medical doctor)

If you have had lyme for weeks or a couple of months, the treatment could be shorter...ie possibly just a few months. But, if you've had lyme for many months to years....you will be looking at long-term treatment...over a year....

If it’s an MD - it will likely be abx focussed treatment.

Some LLMD ‘s will treat lyme plus the coinfections - such as Bartonella, Babesia...etc.

Just checked his bio, he's a leading doctor in lyme disease for the past 24 years, so hopefully he will know the correct treatment plan.gingera crossed,a lot yo take in

Doing loads of research for this over the weekend, the fact that i have a negative B.burg.+afz.+gar.IgM negative,
does that not mean that i dont have a current infection of Lyme and the other results means that i have antibodies from a past infection.

very hard to make sense of these results.

But you have an IgG positive, right?

With the Lyme WB IgG can be an older but active infection .

Is that Armin labs result? I’m thinking it could mean the same?

Hi ,
So i met with the Lyme doctor today (zoom call) he said that I've tested for antibodies for Lyme disease. He cannot confirm if its an active infection or an old one, although because i didnt have any symptoms 18 months ago he believes its active.

All of my symptoms are connected to Lyme disease,
Heart Palpatations, Chest pain, Brain fog, Anxiety, Inflammtion of the nervous system and a constant headache (like my head is in a vice)

I was previoulsy diagnosed with chronic migraine, or maybe New daily Persistent Headache,

I havent picked up my presciption yet, i will post what i have to take.

Yes he will treat that too. Just wondering are all my symptoms common with Lyme disease. It's just that a neurologist told me it was something else.

Yes, those symptoms could all be from lyme and coinfections.

Hi,
Just a quick update. My main symptom was that after some dental work I developed a headache. My headache hasn’t stopped for 18 months. My neurologist diagnosed me with chronic migraine. Then I started to get a lot of heat in my back/neck and then palpitations and anxiety.
I then took bloods sent them to a lab in Germany and they came back with a positive test for lyme and co-infections. I met with the Lyme doctor who said based on my symptoms alone he would have diagnosed me with Lyme but the bloods confirmed it. He could not tell me if the infection was active or not.
He prescribed me with LDN, A-C, probiotics and 3 antibiotics, after 4 days I had to go to the A/E department the feeling of anxiety agitation and the headache was so bad. I now have to take antibiotics every 2 days and build up.
My question is has anybody had a headache that doesn’t stop as a symptom of Lyme and is my reaction to the antibiotics normal, I’ve read online about Herx.
Any help would be brilliant, the headache is tough

constant headache is common - but the severity can vary dramatically from person to person
can be mild general pressure feeling - or full on migrane intensity
can come or go or be constant
the manifestations of lyme and co-infections are highly variable form person to person

co-infections such as babesia and bartonella are also known to cause headaches - as well as other less common ones and even reactivated viruses that can enter the CNS

herx like reactions are a very real phenomenon - and are currently very poorly understood.
- the traditional mechanism usually attributed is that rapid killing of microbes by antibiotics releases microbial by products and causes an acute reaction of worsening symptoms lasting a few days maximum
- however - many chronic lyme sufferers experience flares of symptoms lasting much longer than this.
often lasting weeks or even indefinitely while treating - and the mechanism described above is a not such a good fit to this phenomenon. symptoms of these flares are usually exacerbation of existing symptoms - along with new symptoms in some cases. headaches, pain, fatigue and cognitive difficulties, as well as fevers and sweats are all common.

typically doses need to be reduced to make life liveable and avoid potential harm from extreme symptom flares. Then typically gradually increased as tolerated towards efficacious doses.

Although we are all keen to treat and recover as quickly as possible - many of us who are sensitive to treatment find it best to add one new drug/substance at a time - starting at a low dose and working upwards to understand how our bodies react. so that we at least know what drug or supplement is causing what effect and can optimise our treatment accordingly.

regarding LDN - i am taking this also - but found i had to work my way up in dose very gradually otherwise i experienced pretty dramatic side effects ( quite a well known phenomenon ) for me it was all over pain and sleeplessness. information sources on the use of LDN in chronic illness make the advice to titrate upwards from a low dose very clear. some people here are using it and some find no effect and other find it changed their life - a strong reaction initially is supposedly a good indication of long term benefit.

Hi,
I've been on the antibiotics now for 6 days and I've never felt so bad. The pain in my head. After checking online all i can do is drink plenty of fluids. Also I'm waking in the middle of the night and that's it I'm awake. Absolutely exhausted. Fingers crossed i get some relief soon because this pain is unbearable at the moment.

certainly seems like you are experiencing herx like reactions

-some find epsom salt baths help

-add several cups of epsom salts to a bath and sit/lie in it for as long as you can

-others find alka Selzer gold helps to some degree

generally ensure your liquid intake is high and remove any unnecessary other toxins from your regime
alcohol, sugar, junk food etc as it all gives you system more work to do to process - and its already maxed out.

minerals are also important - as your body needs these to detoxify chemicals from your system - especially magnesium, zinc, trace elements

some sulphur containing supplements can also help detoxification by supplying raw materials and supporting glutathione production - or liposomal glutathione - eg NAC, Alpha lipoic acid, but note some( typically those that are most sensitive to any treatment) find these can actually worsen symptoms.

if it becomes unbearable - there is always the option to pause - allow your body to recover - and restart - best discussed with your LLMD

You mentioned symptoms started after you had dental work done. Lyme is very complex and systemic. Dental issues and mercury toxicity are very common in Lyme disease patients. What kind of dental work did you have done? Was it done by a conventional dentist or a biological dentist?

Also, sounds like this doctor threw a lot of treatment at you very fast -LDN plus 3 antibiotics. Which antibiotics were you given? What is A-C?

I went to the dentist to have root canal. about 5 days after root canal got a headache on left side ( same as the tooth) went back to the dentist he dismissed me. He did a check about two weeks later and said yes you have an infection took antibiotics, headache didn't stop then finally had the tooth pulled. Still get some pain in that area even though the tooth is gone. Saw a neuroligist, was diagnosed with chronis migraine.

saw a lyme doctor he said differently, he prescribed
Acetly Cysteine
Lycimor 300mg
Zinnat 500mg
Rifapicin 300m
Naltrexone
and some probiotics
the dentist was a normal dentist

Please check into information on IAOMT. See if you can find a biological dentist near you. It’s possible that a biological dentist may be able to properly clean and heal the site and remove traces of infection. I would do this as soon as possible. Since your symptoms started there, it’s very likely what triggered everything. If this is addressed now, you may be able to avoid spending years on antibiotic treatments and possibly still not recovering.

You mentioned you hadn’t had a known tick bite. This seems to happen to many people. They may have had Lyme/coinfections for some time, but their immune systems keep things in check. Then other things trigger stress on the immune system and things start to unravel.

Root canals and cavitation infections (with or without symptoms) are very problematic, especially for those with Lyme. There are articles about these topics on the IAOMT site. Cavitations are also related to NICO lesions and jawbone necrosis, terms you may come across as well.
