Hi,

thanks for your response, its makes a lot of sense. The tooth was taken out last year, so its healed over at this stage. I dont know if i would need a dentist or maybe a surgeon to have a look at my jaw.

Read over the information in those links. It’s not what you think. A conventional dentist is not going to get this right. There is a lot to it.

Hi,
made an appointment with a biological dentist, cant get to see him until May 11. Just thinking if the skin has healed over where the tooth was taken out, how will a dentist sort that out. Do you not think its some sort of surgeon i need to cut the gum.

Call the biological dentist’s office and make sure this dentist does cavitation surgery and uses ozone and platelet rich plasma or fibrin. If this dentist doesn’t, call around to find a biological dentist that does. Check the dentist’s reviews, too. You want a good biological dentist.

Cavitation surgery involves opening the site and removing dead tissue and bone, using ozone to clean site, and treating it with platelet rich plasma/fibrin to restore proper blood flow in order to prevent infection from recurring.

Just checked your link that you sent me, only 2 biological dentists in my country, thankfully the one I've booked an appointment with is not to far. I will have to see him first and he can make recommendation.

So are you saying that if i dont get this looked at first of all the lyme antibiotics may not work, or that it may not be the lyme infection causing the headache.

The amount of people doctors/dentists that I've spoken to and explained that the pain started immediately after root canal and not one of them suggested anything like this.

I think it’s worth it to get that looked at and addressed by a biological dentist first considering that was where your symptoms started. There are no guarantees with anything, but if a biological dentist can effectively clean out and treat that site, then you should certainly be better able to treat Lyme and any other issues. I’m not a medical professional. That is my personal opinion based on the circumstances you described and what I have learned over the years from this forum, my doctors, and articles from alternative health professionals.

Conventional medicine misses so much and really has no answers for chronic, multi-symptom, multi-system illnesses. Alternative and functional medicine offer better testing, information, and treatment, but they don’t have all the answers either. Much of what works is individual to each person and is often discovered through trial and error.

Hi,

i've been on antibiotics now for 15 days, none of my symptoms have changed. My face is very red and i can feel a lot of heat in my neck. I've never felt so low as i do now. Very emotional, a lot of tears.

dont know if this is normal, but my life is on hold at the minute.

Hi,
I've now been on antibiotics for 15 days now, headache hasn't eased at all. I've never felt so low in my life, very emotional, I'm hoping its a reaction to the antibiotics, although i didnt think they could make you feel this way.

yes this sounds entirely normal. While treating, many here find their symptoms often become worse for a while.
this may include flaring of symptoms you have had before or entirely new ones.
its also common to have increased emotional volatility during this time.

it is referred to as a Herxheimer effect - the exact causes of prolonged reactions are not fully understood - but is known to occur when treating bacterial infections and especially in things like chronic lyme and likely involves disturbances in the immune system caused by bacterial die off products.

it is however highly individual - some do not experience these herx like effects at all and others do so very severely.

you are not alone in this and typically the worst will be in the first few weeks though - so with luck you may be past the worst of it.

Hi,
I tested positive for Lyme atibodies about 2 months ago, on all the antibiotics. Nothing really happening yet, still have a very bad headache. This started after I had root canal. I then went to a biological dentist who said that i have some cavitaions in my jaw and that they could be causing the headaches and that i need them removed. I asked him does he use Ozone treatment and he doesn't. He is a bological dentist and is listed on the biological dentist website. he also has fantastic reviews.

He gave me the name of a doctor who does use Ozone treatment but thats for the whole body he wont do the surgery.

Just wondering whcih is better for me to have the ozone treatment on its own and see if that clears up the cavitaions or the surgery to remove them.

any advice would be great.
